Their 2008 album Honeysuckle Weeks, is born from their enduring union, something Blake addresses in the cutesy but cautious "You, Me and the Bourgeoise". 10 tracks.

Stunning!
Like others, I got this CD mostly because of the iPhone commercial using their song. What surprised me is that that song quickly fell from my #1 favorite song on the album. There are so many tracks that are just really touching and heart-warming.The songs on this CD are about love. And let me preface my statement that I'm a guy who much rather listen to songs that are up-tempo and not love songs. However, the lyrics are amazing and meaningful. They can seem cheesy at times (see: Swimming Pool --> "When you kiss me in ways I'd forgotten/You're love is like a swimming pool with no bottom"), but for some reason, it just fits right.

Musical magic to my ears!
When I first heard The Submarines, it was in the movie Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. Their song Xavia is such a standout in the movie amongst several other great songs on the soundtrack. Xavia was just such a beautiful song that I decided I should get the album it was featured on: Honeysuckle Weeks! This album does not disappoint! The Thorny Thicket is catchy. 1940 and The Wake Up Song are nice ones, too. Swimming Pool has got to be another one of my favorites. This is a great debut album and I recommend buying it!

Bought as I was drawn in with one song and love the album just as much!
The song 1940 brought me to the group, and the album is great. I know it's not main stream, but if you like indie pop or perhaps even a little, and I mean JUST a little, Dave Matthews esque sound; but The Submarines have their own unique awesome sound.

Submarines offer delicious music
From the quality of the songwriting to delivery of the sound, Submarines are worth every penny. Sweet and witty vocal delivery, and she is really hot, too! Super yummy music!

Decent product
The CD itself was in perfect condition, but the case was cracked. Overall a little bit unsatisfied with case's condition, since I buy CD's for the CD and the case.

Love the Submarines
This album is my favorite next too the remix album. Nice soft vocals combined with great music. I always sing along in the car.

Flower power
I must admit that the first time I heard of the Submarines is when I went to see Aimee Mann's concert. They were the supporting act. I later found out that one of the tracks from the album, You, Me and the Bourgeoise was used in Apple iphone 3G commercial in the States (haven't had never heard it over here). Unlike the other tunes from Apple, to me anyway, still remained underplayed and highly infectious!Honestly, I think they are good. Both album and also during live performance. Hazard and Dragonetti are the brains of the band. The music are infectious, almost-hippie like and at times, it reminded you of Bjork! Although in saying that it's nothing like Bjork's! I find it difficult to describe their style. In one way, it's almost child-like, flower-power but certainly with a definite sense of tune and attitude.On the other hand, it's relatively mature and touching. Perhaps folkish? (rather harsh to say that!) tune with an extreme attitude!I love it. I would give it a try or at least go to their website to judge it for yourself.

まるで春の野を散歩しているような、さわやかな景色と空気が感じられる。瑞々しい音楽の波に揺さぶられて、何度も何度も聞き返したくなる。フィッツジェラルドを曽祖父に持つという二人の紡ぎだす音楽は、特別新しくはないけれど、様々な色彩のピースが美しいモザイク画を作り出すように、一つ一つの音のかけらを組み合わせて、居心地の良い空間を作り出すことに成功していると思った。心地良さを味わいたい人には、オススメの一枚。
