GPX KC232S Under Cabinet CD Player with AM/FM Radio - Silver

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. It's ridiculously easy to install. Kinda freaked me out that I was going to have to drill 4 holes that needed to line up. It come with a template and lining them up is no problem. The tuning is pretty sensitive but for fm stations it comes in pretty well. Am leaves something to be desired but we never listen to AM anyway. The speakers are those which you would expect on a $40 radio such as this. They sound good but not like a Bose system, and if you expect them to sound like Bose you need to get your head checked. The display can be the time or the station/input. The mp3 cradle gets pulled down from the back of the unit and spins. It's kinda funky but it gets the job done well enough.Two knocks on this are the am reception and the sensitivity of the tuning wheel. But we never listen to am and we rarely change the station (at least for the radio this is replacing) so I'm not too upset about it.After owning it for 2 weeks I'd buy this again. If you buy it expecting to look feel and operate like a $40 unit you will be happy.

This is a piece of junk. It was easy to install and looked nice but the CD tray would not open. It has been returned. I guess you get what you pay for. The return for this company was a night mare. 2 weeks after they received the return I received the return shipping label and was told it would take 10 days to process the return. After I contacted them again I finally received my refund but not the shipping fee I originally paid.

This is a good quality product. It is smaller than I anticipated so that is a plus as it actually takes little space under the counter. Very easy to install and the sound quality is awesome. I had considered the Sony but this was a lot less expensive and I am glad I decided to go a little cheaper. Definitely worth it!

Overview: The item is very affordable ~$35. With that you get average sound quality (as should be expected). The item is simple to use and simple to mount as long as you're not afraid to drill holes in your cabinet. Relatively compact size allows the unit to fit under a 12" upper cabinet.Criticisms:The mP3 holder is at the back of the unit, would be more easily accessible at the front.The radio tuner is finicky. There's a dial on the side to tune stations, yet the station numbers are digital. In a vehicle this is not a problem as the stereo locks in to valid station id's. However the way this unit is programmed, it is possible to get stuck between say 101.9 and 102.0 and it's very hard to fine tune to catch the signal.

Easy to install and setup (includes a drill template and two sized cabinet gap extensions). Good radio reception and sound (don't expect boom box quality), but we were surprised to find that the product has an analog radio tuner, instead of a digital tuner. We had an older GPX which had digital tuning, so we were somewhat disappointed in this difference. A nice feature on this one is the programmable CD player - you can choose which order tracks will play in or just choose random. And no problems with the MP3 player attachment/connection. Maybe I haven't figured out the trick yet, but the only minor complaint I have is that I can only reverse while on a CD track, not skip back to the start of the track. However, the CD forward button works fine for both fast forwarding and skipping to the next track. If you want an easy to install and dependable little entertainment center for your kitchen or other work area, the GPX KC232S is a very practical and economical product.

I'm sorry....maybe someone else'll have a better experience with this product, BUT my experience is the sound quality of this radio is awful (probably due to its exterior antenna). I remember when my dad would have me stand by our first TV and hold rabbit ears. (I think his theory was that human bodies work better than antennas for reception!) This is how GPX's exterior antenna seems to work, so prepare to dial back 50 years.Most stations do not come in clearly -- except! the Spanish music station which is loud/clear--so, if you're Spanish you'll be delighted. The tuner on the side is a bit inconvenient, but don't know where else it could be located...just is tiring from arm poised in air for 20 minutes while trying to dial up one station with reasonable music and reception.I was not expecting a miracle, but had hoped to get ONE station (preferably NPR) that I could leave on and listen while doing kitchen duty ... but NO. NPR is broadcast from 3 locations, but only one has reception--which is static and 'drifts' off station.Grrrrr. Last, turned out I spent $10 more for item ($44) than priced thru Wal-Mart ($34), so I gypped myself all around. Hope there is no flack when I return this item once snow/sleet/roads allow. So DISAPPOINTED in radio/CD (flimsy) overall -- plus, my cabinets have 4 large holes now!!!My advice? If you really want an under counter radio, put your bucks toward another brand (although Sony's prices seem to be out of line).

One of the reviews said when they pull holder down it faces backwards so his ipod faces the wall. After you pull it down all you have to do is rotate it to the front. Problem solved. The sound is not bad. We use this unit in our kitchen for NetFlix and TuneIn for the radio from our iPhones. Works very well with that and that way we can hear AM as well as FM or any station we want to worldwide that features internet streaming.Would I buy this again? DEFINITELY without a doubt!

This might be small but it has great sound! I love that I can hook my phone or Ipod to it. The only thing is, it doesn't have an AM setting, which my husband has complained about because he cannot watch the game and listen to it at the same time on the radio. But, I don't care about that. It fits great under my top cabinet and was easy to install. The sound is also great for the radio and it is easy to work.

Very good condition. Bought it as a gift for my mother. She seems to like it, and uses it often.

let me down completly, waited over a month before making enquiries regarding this product. the reason i wanted it was the price. amazon were great as soon as i told them of the problem the money was back in my account. i dont believe there ever was a player at that price because it has suddenly gone out of stock , god knows what Click got out of advertising it at all i do not know

I received the item today, installed it and plugged it in. The volume goes up, but will not go down. I called the company and was told that I need to pay for the return shipping, and wait 30 days after it is received to get a new one shipped if they approve the replacement. This item is only one day old. I would not recommend this item.

does not pick up many stations, stations drift in and out, sound is mediocre at best, do not buy this product!
