will this game run on larger resolutions? currently running 3 x 1920*1200 monitors & find a few of these revamped games don't work

Hello. I only play it on my max resolution which is 1920 x 1080. Can't set it any higher. So good luck finding out and sorry I can't be more help.

Is this game steam compatible?

With Microsoft Windows operating system, not only the game is compatible with Steam, as it only works in Steam environment.When installing the game, or Steam is already installed, or the game will install Steam.To play, it is necessary to access Steam and to create or use a Steam account.But the game works very well under these conditions.

do i have to have steam to play this as i never got it to work on stronghold 3?

that's a good question and i'm not sure. i already had a steam account and any updates which there are by the way came down through the steam interface. but ive never had an issue with steam in fact i don't know if you think this is a good thing, but once it in steam the game stays with them. what i mean is, if you had steam with the games you have and say you changed operating system on your pc your hard drive stopped working (with me i changed from win 7 too 8.1) when i tried to validate my copy with the key that came with the disc it would not work but when i installed steam again with my user name and password it auto downloaded my game with all the update's maps etc and i had no trouble... but bare this in mind my total download for steam was over 500 gig and at 2 meg a second which is the fasted steam downs at it took a few days on and off too get all my games back and i know 1 or 2 people who's steam accounts are 3 too 4 T/B bitesi hope this helps and if you did not know steam is free of charge do not get conned into paying for it martin

do i have to play this online or from disc? do i need steam, reason i ask is that i couldnt get stronghold 3 to work .

I have AVG software and have played this game without being connected to steam (when my connection was down) but you will need steam fo updates and there has been 4 or 5 of those so far! If you liked stronghold crusader then you will love this. It is harder but so much fun, that you lose yourself for hours into the game.
