Nightmare Before Christmas Sally Costume Dress

Purchased this for someone for Halloween who weighs 120 pounds and I ordered size XL since many other reviews said it ran smaller than the size chart. It fit really well. I didn't like how the "real costumes" had a solid color in the back, that's why I ordered this dress because it has the print of Sally's dress on both sides. I am happy with this purchase.

I ordered an XL as everyone suggested to order a size or two larger--I'm 5' 5" and around 150. I'm glad I did. I think a large would have fit, but might have been tight on my chest and fit around my hips. The XL is fine on my upper body and a little loose on my hips. There is A LOT more black on the bottom than I anticipated, though technically my dress looks like the one in the picture. The material is on the thinner side, but it's not totally see-through. After looking at and reading about several Sally dresses, I think I made a good choice with this one. Most of the other costumes don't have a design on the back. This one has a design on both sides!

I was worried about the sizing of this dress, especially since it was coming from the UK and would be difficult to return/exchange. Based on product reviews and the cm sizing chart, I decided to order two sizes larger (M) than my normal size (XS.) After trying it on, I think I made the right choice. One size up probably would've worked out ok since it is a bit stretchy, but two sizes up provides comfort while still being fitted in the top. So if you're on the fence like I was, I suggest ordering two sizes up! Material is a bit thin, so a slip is probably needed. What sold me on this dress is the print is on the front AND the back. It's great...I love it!

The quality and design is great! I ordered a size up like everyone suggested and I actually think I'm going to exchange my XL for a large (L). I'm 5'5" and 140 lbs and normally wear a medium/large. The dress is kind of a fit and flare style and the XL waistline barely even touches my sides. It's really loose. Otherwise, I think it's the best option for a Sally dress I've seen.

I love it, but I'm returning it and getting a larger size even though I sized up to begin with. I normally wear a small in dresses ( I normally wear size 2/4) so I bought a medium after reading the other reviews, but the medium was still way too tight in the arms so I'm returning it for a large. So if you have athletic arms maybe go 2 sizes up.

Really cute Sally dress, the back matches the front (not just a solid color like other versions). Length is past my knees, so perfect for a bit of modesty and to look more like Sally (I am 5’4”, so someone taller might have a different result). Real fabric that can be washed and worn numerous times.

Love this dress!! Purchased for an upcoming vacation to Disney. The material is light and soft, perfect and just what I wanted for Florida weather! Great length. I did order up a size and it fits perfectly!
