Keeps the "water" out of waterfowling. - Guide Gear Waterfowl Jacket keeps the "water" out of waterfowling, making it more enjoyable to hunt longer. Each fabric technology, every design element, is there to help you increase your waterfowl prowess. The Guide Dry waterproof/breathable membrane, Thinsulate Insulation and plentiful pockets set it up as a worthy contender that'll arm you with features to succeed. The Guide Dry waterproof/breathable membrane keeps out water while allowing sweat vapors to escape, so you never feel wet or clammy in the blind or jon boat. How does it work? Its simple. Water molecules are larger than vapor molecules. Guide Dry features a special membrane with tiny pores that prevent larger water molecules from penetrating the exterior. Meanwhile, smaller vapor molecules are able to pass through, transferring body heat and sweat from the inside out. The result is 100% waterproof protection, without the stuffy feel of traditional waterproof material. Couple that with 150 gram Thinsulate Insulation and you get lightweight, bulk-free warmth that takes the edge off the cold. 9 total pockets give you a place for each field necessity. Shotgun shells? There's a place for that. Both front cargo pockets feature shell loops inside and are topped with button-flaps that give you quick access to the shells. Plus these pockets have drain holes on the bottom so you won't get waterlogged. 2 hidden pockets, 2 side pockets, 2 vertical chest pockets and internal zip-close pocket make up the rest of the pocket plethora. The hood is insulated and removable, plus features an extended visor for visibility. Adjust it in the back for your perfect fit, and to increase your peripheral vision. Bi-swing back makes it easier to pop up from a blind without clothing bind. Extended cuffs with thumbholes seal out the cold for even more warmth. With a chin guard for added coverage, license loop holder....and lots more, it's a fine choice

Solid effin jacket.
Gonna be honest. Was totally afraid to order this based on only having one photo. However, I'm glad I did. It's roomy for it's size but not too large. Good enough for waders and a sweatshirt. It's fleece on the inside all the way up into the hood (which is also removable). The shoulders have expansion gussets. The back had a flap that's sewn on both ends and rivited in the middle to hang your tag without ruining the waterproof factor of the jacket. The bottom pockets on the outside are large with 7 spaces in each pocket to fit 3" 12 gauge shells comfortably. The top pockets on the outside look good for a cell phone or duck calls. There's one inside pocket. The external zipper is protected by a flap and snaps. The hand openings for the sleeves are able to be tightened or loosened by Velcro and have glove type things to keep your sleeves down and tucked into gloves. The bottom of the backed has elastic if you choose to use it to cinch the bottom closed.Feels like a sturdy jacket. Excited to take it out tomorrow for the first go, and it's supposed to be crappy weather. If the jacket doesn't preform as expected I'll update this review.I really hope these pictures help the next person make a decision.

They run BIG
I purchased this jacket recently and like it for it's warmth and color. It is however, much larger than the 2X jackets that I already own. I don't know if the size is mis-marked or they actually run that large. Overall it's a great jacket but wish I had ordered an XL instead.

Quality construction, well designed
This jacket from Guide Gear is a well-thought out product, feels like quality construction as well.Loads of pockets, more than I've seen on any other waterfowl jacket. All in the right places, too. One can really load up the dump pockets with shells, plus 7 more in the loops per pocket. The pockets behind the dump pockets are perfect for neck gaiter, extra gloves, etc. It's bulky enough to keep one warm, but allows free movement for swinging for a shot in the blind or boat. The camo pattern is great for wetlands and fields, as is obvious since it is the official camo of Ducks Unlimited. The fabric also doesn't allow a gun sling to slip off the shoulder easily.Only drawbacks are the lack of loops to tie down duck calls that can go in the chest pockets, and I would have preferred buttons on the fastener for the hood instead of Velcro, but neither are a huge deal. All in all one great waterfowl jacket!

Tight face mask and upside down shell holders
Very warm and watertight. Size is accurate, but the face mask part is extremely tight to the point you can’t zip it up past your chin. My shell holders in the pockets were also sewn in upside down... you get what you pay for I guess

Great coat
It's perfect for cold weather. I have worn it several times. I bought it to waterfowl hunt in Indiana. I have worn it in the rain and stayed dry. Only thing I dont like is that the sleeve liner has the thumb holes. They drive me nuts. Awesome coat!

Warm and comfortable
Only downside so far are the thumb holes tug on your hand and it begins to hurt after a while. Overall very warm and comfortable.
