Sturmgeschütz III Assault Gun 1940–42 (New Vanguard)

Gave a dry overlook of this little known tank type. Would have to have found out move of its effectiveness, battle history etc. Was focused to much on mechanical makeup.

An excellent primer for those who want to know the important facts about the earlier versions of this vehicle, the differences, and basic technical facts. The cutaway drawing is really nice, decent selection of photos.

The cut off of 1942 precludes discussion of the StuG III as a tank destroyer. The illustrations are very good. The technical jargon a bit thick. More reflections from users and foes (esp French) of the StuG III would help round the book.

Already owning the Osprey book on the StuG Ausf.F & G, I could not resist the chance to get the one about the Ausf.A-E. I love these Osprey Vanguard books with zoomed in, detailed and comprehensive information about a certain vehicle. If you're passionate about tanks in general or maybe a specific vehicle, the Osprey Vanguard books are the best way to go for sure!

An excellent introduction to this WWII German assault gun. Informative and interesting with a wealth of black and white photographs, colour plates and cutaway drawings. Sold at a good price and delivered as scheduled.

Once again a good book, with excellent illustrations and history on the StuG III.I would recommend this book to any model builders.

This book gives a great insight into the inception and early development of the Stug. As with all this series, the colored plates are excellent inspiration for modelers.
