I've used this stud finder on multiple occasions now. No false readings like I experienced with others in the past. I have purchased a number of stud finders over the years and have been disappointed, but this one is accurate and quite simple to use. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Great item. I bought this stud finder to use during my remodeling project. I have an old house and was able to use this to find abandoned pipes and electrical lines burried in the walls and to locate the studs. This is really well made and seems rugged to hold up to construction use (and the drops). It was easy to calculate and recalculates quickly. Also has a bright and easily read display.

My old stud finder was always a little “iffy” and since I was going to be hanging something heavy on my wall, I needed an accurate stud finder. The reviews of this stud finder were really good, but there weren’t that many reviews compared to a lot of other stud finders, so I was a little hesitant to order. But I’m glad I did. It is accurate - even beeps when you’re on the center of the stud. I did have to adjust depth at first, as when I ran it across the drywall at 1/2” depth the readings were a little off. But when I switched it to 1” depth it was spot on. The other thing I really like is that no matter what mode you’re using it will warn you if you’re close to live AC current. Great safety feature! I’m happy with this stud finder and highly recommend it.

I bought this to help locate studs behind a tile wall in my shower so I could mount a grab bar for my wife and myself. When I first tried the unit it did indicate the presence of studs where I thought they might be, and thus was satisfied. However, when I tried to confirm the stud location a second time, I got no useful directions. I had marked where the first showings were and decided to use those markings. Drilled the holes and found no studs in either location. Fortunately, I had anticipated this and bought mounting bolts for installation behind tile and sheet rock.

This is without a doubt the worst stud finder I've ever used. It randomly "detects" studs where there clearly are none, fails to detect studs that are there, and when you go over a spot multiple times you get different readings (i.e. the "Center" of the stud will be 3" off every time you measure the stud, which means it's not even in that stud anymore). Perhaps I got a defective unit, but I'll be going to Lowes to buy an actual stud finder. I had tried to save money by going with this one, but that was a bad idea.

When researching various stud finders online for a couple of days, I'm glad I suggested Amazon for this product for my husband. I trust the reviews from 'Verified Purchases' and it didn't disappoint! Would highly recommend this tool.

Its ok. About as quirky as most stud finders. Definitely requires getting to know how to use it on all kinds of walls and is similar but not exactly like other brands and how they give false readings often. This one also calibrates a little different than some others out there... Not better or worse, just different. One thing that does stand out is it feels better built than others and comes with a very nice case.

Very impressed with this stuf finder. Its very easy to use and extremely accurate with no misreadings. Definitely would recommend over other scanners.
