Easy to work with, good quality, affordable and it actually worked!
Used this mainly for heat resistance over head (complete) and front leg compartment (project coming up soon). Definitely a noticeable improvement! Will be doing the same to my Wife's car.It took both of us about 3 hours to do just my roof, so probably 4-5 hours labor bring careful not to damage the headliner and it was our first time doing this, so someone experienced could probably do it in 3 hours. Spent maybe an hour looking at online videos.I love how easy this was to work with. I could even cut it with cheap household scissors. The sticky surface wasn't too super sticky. I accidentally missed my intended spot a few times and it came off and went back in quite well. I was able to do it all work only my hands. Didn't need the roller application tool (which I think is for the metal 80 mil stuff). This size box can easily do an economic car and probably a mid sized.I was worried it might be too thick, but it wasn't even close. Someone else said they double coated the metal 80mil and this rubberized foam 170mil and that would probably be the very best application if you want to go all the way with this.Very happy

IT WORKS!
I'm here because I bought these to "soundproof" two doors in my apartment in Brooklyn New York. The landlord recently had all the entrance doors in the building changed and they went from one sheet of metal to two thinner sheets of metal with a honey comb pattern of thin cardboard in between the sheets and somehow they blocked the sound even less than one sheet did before, I could literally hear everything in the hallway... people walking, breathing, thinking. Anyway I went on Amazon and was going to purchase those spiky foam panels people put on their walls when recording sound but the reviews kept saying "closed cell foam" is better so I decided to give this product a try.The photos are numbered so I could show how much ONE BOX (34 sheets) went.#1-2 was the first box, I was able to cover the inside of the entrance door (31.5 in. x 81 in.) entirely and that did an amazing job, reduced noise significantly, but you should know if you're also doing this be sure to get all the crevices and gaps between the door and frame and by the hinges. Then I went onto a bedroom door (35.5 in. x 77 in.) which is made of 2 thin sheets of wood and hollow inside. I only had enough left to do most of one side on this door and therefore had to order a second box.#3-4 is the second box and what I did with it was finished the first side, did the opposite side, and then because apparently two layers of this stuff (one on each side of the door) wasn't enough to block a certain family members loud voice out I started doing a double layer on the inside of the hollow wood door but didn't have enough to finish as you can see in picture 4. I'm not sure why two layers on the hollow wooden door didn't block noise as well as one layer on the metal one did but since it works I bought a third box of this stuff.#5-8 finally the third box got me to where I wanted the noise reduction to be. #6 is the finished double layer on the hollow wooden door and then I decided to try to seal the gaps on the opposite side of the same door with thin strips instead of doing a double layer on that side too, and I think it did the trick. Then I used some more sheets on the entrance door (#5) to do a double layer there as well since I had extra sheets, why not? With that third box and what I've done in the photos, I still have 10 sheets left over. One door needs about 18 sheets for one layer.I know it doesn't look pretty but I honestly don't care. It works at blocking noise almost completely (I would say 80%) and I was desperate for quiet!

Easy to apply lightweight insulation sheets
I am using this to layer over anywhere I put the foil/butyl mats & in my trunk where there is any bare metal that does not currently have insulation in my 2018 Mazda 6. This will be an ongoing project as I would like to do the floors, doors, & roof. So far, I have just done the trunk.I am going for thermal insulation, but it surprisingly helps kill some vibration and noise penetration. Being thin, I didn't have high expectations. But on a cold day my trunk is closer to the temp of the cabin which was quite impressive.Super easy to use! The paper backing comes right off. I will say, don't pull hard on the foam part to remove the paper. The foam is thin and somewhat prone to tearing under stress. However, it is SO EASY to manipulate and tear to accommodate for parts of the vehicle.Pros:+Thin (They make a thicker version for better insulation) +Easy to use +Good sticky backing +Plays well with their "Dynamat" layerCons:-Only comes in small sheets

Shocked at how well this worked!
I was thoroughly surprised how well this worked in conjunction with Noico's butyl damping mat in my Model 3. My car now sounds like it SHOULD have from Tesla at delivery! I wasn't really satisfied with the rattles, motor whine and tire noise I had on day 1 but wrapping the back half of the cars sheet metal in these two alone improved the 'quiet' factor by at least 50% if not more. No MLV needed (say what you will, I've done it with and without MLV and it sounds just as soft without). If you're gonna do this on your Model 3 (or S, X, Y) make sure to wrap the wheel wells on the inside of the car. That really helped with the road noise. (same goes for the penthouse and rear motor vs motor whine).

Exceeded expectations
I used this and the butyl sheets to redo the flooring in my 86 f150 and this stuff really impressed me. The butyl was as advertised but this product exceeded my expectations. It lays down thicker than it appears when holding a sheet, and it conforms to any grooves or edges. Very easy to use and I noticed an immediate change in the acoustics of the cab once it was in. Great products, I highly recommend both.

It just plain works.
I've spent the last few months redoing the interior of my 4Runner with Noico vibration dampener and now this self adhesive sound and thermal foam. I've ordered 2 different boxes both at separate times and the quality remains consistent from the original to the second box. Appreciate that it's self adhesive property allows it to damn near bond on a clean metal surface. I will also say that summer time here in Az. tends to get warm and now that it's colder I enjoy that helps hold in the heat from the heater just like the A/C does in the summer. Still need to finish the 4Runner but the stuff works in my application.

Good stuff
Great product instruction videos were good and a selling point. Simple to cut yet strong. Just took the diesel out for a test run for the first time since doing g the body work and wow with this stuff and there 80mm foam the truck is quiet.

Easy & Effective
I installed this product as a companion to the previously installed DYNAMAT, together they mask a major amount of road noise (each product minimzes different noise frequencies). Our VW Westfalia camper van now has floors, walls & doors all covered (under carpet & panels of course) and the difference is very noticeable. The driving experience is much more comfortable, listening to music, even talking at 'normal' levels is achievable.

Good product, but you usually can't reach every critical area of a typical car.
Well designed product and has potential to do a good job of abating noise in the car. It is easy to cut and adheres well to car surfaces. However it is so thin that you can't expect miracles, just a little progress in reducing noise inside the car.You have to realize what has to be accomplished in practice when you undertake this project on a real car today. There are so many curves, bumps and hideouts in a typical car that it is very difficult to trim every insulating sheet to cover al the nooks and crannies completely. You can help yourself out by using large paper sheets that you cut out much more easily to cover all the curves and bumps; then you transfer the paper geometry to the Noico sheets. This improves the coverage for sure.Keep in mind that there is also a lot of hard to reach geometry in a typical car. In some cases, you just can't reach these areas with your hands. That means you can't measure with any precision. And sometimes, you can't even stuff the sheets into these areas anyway. In my car, there was no way that I could cover the rear wheel wells with the insulation; those are one of the largest source of road noise, If you have a box type vehicle with very few curves, you might accomplish a more effective job.In conclusion, the product is well designed and installs easily, if you can reach all areas it provides a measurable noise reduction, although marginal.
