Sanitation Equipment Visa Potty Model: 248 18 Liter with 2-Level Indicators

Bought this exact model in 2008 from this seller and finally we killed it!!! it was totally our fault for not dumping the flush water out so it froze in our cold New England winter this year! We usually always winterize it by making sure it's cleaned and ready to go for next swim season but last 3 years I forgot and finally it said no more... it would still be going strong if I had only made sure the water was out of the flushing tubing mechanism thingy!!So Amazing that I purchased this porta potty for our outdoor pool cabana changing room as I didn't want dripping wet kids flying into the house to use the facilities and knowing kids... lets be honest here... if kids don't have access to a toilet they'll go in the pool... ughhh.. so this was my cheap fix for that! The other option would be to run plumbing to the pool cabana and that was ridiculous to entertain being that we have about 3 months of the year use plus taking the chance of the plumbing freezing... no thanks..so we got almost 10 swim seasons of use out of this!! Had we only taken better care of our friend that serviced us so well... but I'm replacing it with this same toilet. If you're looking for an old faithful friend then this is the porta potty for you!

I'm not a camping kinda girl so I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy this was to take apart, clean & put back together. I had a friend suggest that I coat the inside with canola or olive oil before using & I'm sure that makes it easier to clean.

Me and my wife start using this potty, after getting tired to use public toilets and been insecure what buggs we can get on our camping trips.We put disolving tab in holding tank with about 2 quarts of water before we filling the fresh water tank with clean water and about one cup of Odoban in the upper tank. Before you use the toilet pull the pump twice to fill it with water to avoid possible sticking, pull twice after you done, and pull the flushing handle to evacuate the waste. Close the flushing handle pull the fresh water pump twice for next use and You can enjoy smell free great designed portable toilet. We are very happy with this product. Don't forget to have sanitazing wipes for the toilet seat before every use.

<b>Update to my review at the bottom.</b>I ordered this portable toilet based on the reviews, and I am not sorry I did. It does what it's supposed to do, and there's no unpleasant odor lingering. The toilet is the same height as a regular household toilet, and the seat is relatively comfortable.The only design flaw is that the carry handle on the waste tank is not rounded. A full waste tank weighs around 40 pounds, and the sharp corners on the carry handle make carrying it uncomfortable without gloves.<b>UPDATE 2/11/2017:</b> The potty is still going strong after 3 years of daily use. This was definitely a good investment. An additional note on my comment about the carry handle's "design flaw": After a year of toting the waste tank one-handed, it was pointed out to me that there is also a hand-hold at the front of the waste tank. D'oh! It makes a huge (and much more comfortable) difference carrying it with both hands! No heavy gloves needed! A full waste tank is still heavy, though.

We use the 268 porta-potty for camping convenience, charged with Aqua Kem treatment and deoderizer. We've had zero leaks, absolutely zero odor issues, and it is very simple to use. I have simple operating instructions taped to the top of the lid and require anyone needing to use the toilet to read them and show me they understand how to operate it before using the equipment. Doing so has eliminated any problems with the toilet and maximized the use we get out of it between cleanings. We liked the large holding tank and have no problem making the tank last a week or more between dumps when used by at least two people.For remote camping we charge the flush system with rough filtered grey water (no particles) from our camp showers and dish washes. Then we use the toilet mostly for liquid waste convenience if the camp facilities are too distant or it is the middle of the night. We obviously use it for all body waste disposal if no facilities are available. Even when traveling, we load the potty in the back of the pickup to use when no convenient roadside facilities are available. Open the back and front doors of the crew cab, set the potty in between and you have an instant restroom! When done, throw it in the back of the truck, even the back seat, and get back on the road.The potty cleans up easily. The holding tank pour spout has a flush lid that needs to be removed before it can be connected to the holding tank. The holding tank rinses out thoroughly and then the potty stores nicely until needed again.We've put this potty through its paces, camping in extremely hot and dusty desert environments and cold mountain settings. It has always worked perfectly. It is a camping essential for us and one of our best campsite purchases.

OK, so my original scheme was to use this porta-potty and a Grand Trunk handy dandy privacy shelter and set up an outside latrine so that my wife and I could use the RV at a private campsite during the winter....dry that is...without adding water to the RV system during the freezing weather. The good news is the porta-potty works great....the bad news is there was no way in hell my wife was going to sit on this thing outside in the dead of winter....so the porta-potty wound up inside the RV...OK we've been married 30 years...no big deal. Fortunately the porta-potty works great....no fuss. It's a bit dicey to haul this thing full....water...and (ahem!) waste is pretty heavy, particularly squeezing around the tight innards of the RV. Again good news, the porta-potty fresh and waste tanks separate and the waste tank is...so far....water tight. We've used it for a two-day weekend on one "run", but my advice is to empty it once a day and save yourself the anguish. Also, invest in some good toilet deodorant.

Just a inch shorter than a conventional toilet. Many reviews spoke of the small size.A simple compromise. We loved it.Sturdy, we'll made, quality material.Disconnects easily and reconnects there after. Waste easily pours out. Cleans well.Hand pump worked well reaching the entire bowl. No leaking issues what so ever.No smell escapes the seal.Use the liquid additive to help the whole process.We are very happy with choice.There is a lot out there.We highly recommend this item.

Haven't used it yet but seems very sturdy and well made. Seat is wide unlike other brands and is the same height as an indoor bathroom toilet which is nice. I like that it has two large holding tanks. It's better than sitting with your arse over a log, especially at night when you can't see what's lurking behind you.

We use this in an unheated work shed and we use windsheild wiper fluid to avoid the water freezing in the winter. Good hieght for sitting position and the curved edges make the cleaning the bowl easier.

Used it, love it! Easy to carry, easy to clean. Just like the one my parents had when I was small.
