Overboard Prosport Dry Backpack, 20 Litres

I have a love/hate relationship with this bag:Love:Its SERIOUSLY waterproof. It's never leaked, not once. I have cycled around in some pretty crazy rainstorms with this bag on and it has never failed me. The reflective strips are great for safety and its very well made.Hate:Ok, hate is strong, but this bag isn't that confortable and is quite small. Also, due to the way it opens and closes, its a hassle. Also, to find whatever it is thats made its way right down to the bottom and the length of it when its open means you really have to stick your whole arm in and rummage blind.I have to cycle with my laptop almost daily, and this bag offers me piece of mind so despite the niggles, I do like it and would reccomend.

I purchased this item for light use, such as hiking or cycling and getting caught in a downpour, going to the beach etc. I don't intend to swim with it or dunk it in water except accidentally.So far its kept its contents dry. The website does push the envelope a bit more and I'm sure it's as watertight as advertised.Build quality is very good, the straps are very comfortable.Overall it is a comfortable backpack but you have to be careful packing it as it quite flexible so you can get items digging into your back if not careful..And you can "one-strap it" and look cool without it constantly slipping of the shoulder.You don't get a plethora of pockets. Actually, you only get 1! A slim pouch inside which would hold an e-reader or note8 size device, wallet, keys etc.There are no external enclosed pockets, just a net pouch on the left side and a bigger net pouch on the back which closes with a zip.Basically it's a high quality, water resistant, duffel bag.It is certainly big enough for my needs. My 15 inch laptop in a soft case, with charger fit easily and left more than enough space for an extra jacket (light,tightly folded) a SLR in a bulky case and other bits and pieces. I don't think space would be a problem.The only criticism I have, which is why I only gave it 4 stars was that the interior is black. That, together with the lack of pockets means that it is very difficult to find small loose objects at the bottom of the bag.Other designs have a white interior, which would make life a bit easier.I purchased a few clear waterproof plastic bags to make smaller items easier to find, otherwise you end up unpacking the entire bag as smaller items naturally gravitate towards the bottom.I did not purchase this item as a replacement for a normal rucksack, but specifically for it's water resistant properties to protect my electronic devices during outdoor activities and I am entirely satisfied with it.

Great value. I commute by bicycle 15 miles each way to work in central London and was sick of either having a soaking wet rucksack (and most likely the contents of it as well) or the faff of having to put a semi-waterproof cover on it. Had this backpack for a month and haven’t looked back.Pros• Completely waterproof (so much so that you have to press the air out of it before closing!)• One useful smaller pocket internally and external pockets mean you don’t just get one cavernous space like you would with an Ortleib• Cheap for what you get – I picked mine up for £45• Build quality seems to be extremely durable• Reflective strips on the bag and straps ensure high visibility• Chest and waist straps hold it in place• Size – I have the 20 and was concerned that it would be a bit small.. not so! I can fit a 15in laptop, full change of clothes including shoes and a lunchbox inside it. Could probably fit a dog in it as well if I’d tried…)Cons• Honestly the only downside to this bag is that it’s not the most supportive on your back. The padding helps but a bit of moulding wouldn’t go amiss. This said, there is a more recent version of my bag which Overboard may well have sorted the supportiveness issue on.Overall couldn’t be happier – well done Overboard.

I bought this bag as a replacement for my old laptop bag that I used to take to work every day.A few times with the old material bag, I was caught out when it was raining, and my stuff got wet.Not with this one!The bag is a great size - my 15" laptop fits inside easily, and I can carry my every day stuff as well as a change of clothes (including shoes) if required.It feels good on my back when walking also.

This backpack feels strong and is quite comfy to carry. So far it has never allowed water in when we take it to the beach or kayaking etc. However, what I find quite annoying is the how hard it is to find one thing in your bag quickly... it is a real faff to find what you want and I would prefer more side pockets.

Fantastic bag - am buying it again almost 5 years later. Just looked at my order history and I initially purchased on 4th Oct 2012 as a waterproof bag for my laptop. Hasn't let me down after almost daily heavy use over that time. Am buying another one because of general wear and tear, rips etc. Highly recommend

A well designed rucksack will fit well, be adjustable for various loads, protect the goods carried, and will just as comfortable at the end of the trail as when first put on. This meets all these criteria and is smart as well.

Used this on a motorcycle trip to Scotland . was a wet summer up there .. this kept all my delicate things dry and safe .

Avevo già comprato la versione più grande di questi meravigliosi zaini, ho voluto prendere pure questo per avere qualcosa di più compatto. Che dire? Prodotto eccellente, assolutamente consigliato per chi come me non si può permettere di bagnare il contenuto dello zaino perché contiene materiale sensibile all'acqua come portatile o macchina fotografica. L'ho usato sotto acqua a dirotto senza nessun problema. Inoltre è anche comodo da portare! Volendo fare un'unica osservazione critica è legata al fatto che sul fondo non c'è nessuna imbottitura per proteggere meglio dagli urti il portatile, ma ho risolto molto rapidamente comprando un rettangolo di neoprene dello spessore di 1 cm da un negozio specializzato per imbottire il fondo! Consegna puntuale e prodotto come da descrizione! Consigliatissimo.

Ich habe mir den Rucksack bestellt weil ich einen wasserdichten Rucksack für den Alltag brauchte und hier ist er...Wasserdicht ohne Ende! Unglaublich komfortabel zu tragen ... auch wenn er schwer ist ...20 Liter sind sicherlich recht klein und wenn man noch mal schnell den Pulli oben reinstopfen will dann stößt er schon an seine Grenzen...Alles in allem ein echt feiner Sack. für kleines Geld... Robust..

Bolsa muy cómoda y bien Terminada, con buenos materiales en la confección. Recomendable para deportes náuticos. El tamaño el ideal.

Der Rucksack hat seinen zweck ganz erfüllt. Wir haben ihm an den strand mittgenommen. Er ist wasserfest. Die Grösse ist genau richtig. Sehr viel platz. Wir sind völlig zufrieden

Prodotto davvero ottimo, molto robusto, pratico e spazioso. Anche dal punto di vista estetico si fa apprezzare. Unica pecca la mancanza di una tasca chiusa esterna (quella interna è meno pratica). Comunque consigliatissimo.

Livraison avant la date prévue.Belle finition ce sac tiend très bien a dos lors des randonnés.Le volume me semblais juste mais convient bien dans les petites sortie ( humides)La fermeture déroute un peut au début mais c'est très éfficace.Un produit que je recommande vivement ( Moto , sports nautiques......)

Sac est solide, super pratique au quotidien et étanche en plus . Je me sers de ce sac, principalement pour la moto.

Ich bin bitter enttäuscht. Wasserdicht war er ja, aber nach nichtmal 3 Monaten normaler Nutzung (Rucksack ins Büro) ist unten die geklebte Naht aufgegangen. Dort lagen immer nur Regenjacke und Handtuch, war also nix spitzes. Ich ärgere mich über die mehr als 50€,die ich dafür ausgegeben habe.

日々のバイク通勤で使用しています。急な雨でも鞄に入れている書類や精密機械が濡れる心配が無く、安心して持ち運べます。大きさも20Lあり、一泊程度の着替えや荷物も十分収まるサイズなので、ちょっとした旅行にも使えます。他の方が仰る通り、奥の方に入れた荷物が少し取り辛いという感じはありますが、私的には点数を下げるほど気になる感じではないので－にはしませんでした。素材もしっかりしており、ちょっとやそっとでは壊れることはないです。完全防水の為、中に空気を入れて締めれば緊急時には浮き袋として使用出来ますし、逆に中に水を入れればバケツ代わりにもなるので、災害時にも強い味方になると思います。値段は登山等で使用するバックパックよりも若干安い程度なので、手頃とまでは言えませんが、値段以上の性能であると思います。

上記の通り、本来の目的である防水性能には文句なしの星五つ。ただ、その結果として出し入れが難儀になるのは仕方がないとは言え、一番下に入れたものを取り出すのにそこそこ手を焼いてしまう場面もあり、手放しで称賛とはいかない部分があるのは否定できず。収納物へのアクセスポイントがもう一つも増えれば、利便性は段違いになるものと思い星マイナス一つ。

満足してますが…子供に持たせてるのですがチョット重たい！丈夫なのは良いが軽かったらスゴイ！！

雨が降っても中身が濡れないのは凄い良かったです！！バイク通勤に愛用中です。

It's rare to see products this well built and durable these days. Mine's been torture-tested by me for the last 4 years: I use it as an everyday bag, as a personal item when flying, and I've taken it on numerous dayhikes and camping trips, but you would never know. All of my other backpacks (that I use far more rarely) have shown wear, especially on the shoulder straps and the bottom of the pack, after a year or so. Everything on this pack looks as new as the day I bought it, except maybe a little dirtier, but I can't blame OverBoard for that ;). It's also quite comfortable, and the perfect size for a dayhike or bookbag. If this ever does fall apart (though I don't see that happening in the next 5 years), I'm going to buy the exact same bag.

Great Backpack and does what it says, totally waterproof and it looks good also. Little too small for me and all the stuff i like to pack especially in the fall when i want sweats and a hoodie with me for those days when it gets cold out on the boat in the evening

Excellent bag! Plenty of space, very durable, and definitely waterproof. The external pockets are big enough to hold the essentials and the internal pocket works great for valuables you need easy access to. The straps are comfortable for me as a 5'3" female with an average sized chest
