B is for Badger: A Wisconsin Alphabet (Discover America State by State)

This has been one of my go-to books to give as a gift for babies or parents to be. If you are from Wisconsin or have children to give a gift to who live in Wisconsin, this is a lovely gift to learn more about our state.

Long story...we hide a pickle ornament in our Christmas tree and have the grandkids search for it. The winner gets a prize, usually some sort of novelty Christmas candy. I saw this book and it was the perfect prize as I'm from Sheboygan. I moved 40 years ago and miss it terribly. The pictures are super and the text shines light on things I miss and all eleven grandkids really wanted to find that pickle when they saw what the prize is.

Sleeve came a little bent - otherwise great!

What's not to love about this book? Its illustrations are lovely, the word choices for each letter are creative and, I think, comprehensively highlight the best Wisconsin has to offer. I originally ordered this book to use with my students at the elementary school where I work, but I wound up keeping it at home amongst my own book collection because I didn't want it getting beat up.

Great book and gift but the outer cover was completely torn

"B is for Badger" is a wonderful book for learning about Wisconsin's traditions, history and culture. I'm a fan of this book series, but a few of the books I've purchased are quite detailed for young children.This book is entertaining and informative, though each page is short and sweet enough for the younger ears, but puts forth something for both adults and children to learn about.The illustrations are beautiful, and aptly capture the people, places, traditions and unique treasures found in Wisconsin.

Was a gift for my niece. I read it after gifting it. It is very well done. Illustrations are very good. Also a lot of great information. I myself learned many things. My niece as well as her parents also enjoyed the book. Definitely recommend it.
