What's Inside You Is Inside Me, Too: My Chromosomes Make Me Unique

Wonderfully Informative!
I love that this books explains chromosomes. So many books about children with Down syndrome don't explain the chromosome part, and it just leaves a big chunk out! My daughter has Down syndrome and I will be sure to give a copy of this book to her cousins. My only complaint is that the illustrations aren't very clear at showing which character has Down syndrome, something that I think is really important. I would like my daughter to be able to identify with the characters in the book, but as that is my one complaint I still recommend the book!

Love this story, easy for kids to understand and entertaining!
My son has down syndrome so I was looking for a book to share with his pre school class. This book was perfect, shares facts in a fun entertaining way. We shared this book in my daughters class as well since they loved it so much!

Perfect for older elementary aged kids or siblings
When the kids get a little older and need more information about Down syndrome, this is a great place to start. I read this to a 3rd grade class and then followed up with an email to the parents about what their kids learned. It's a positive message with just enough medical information to satisfy slightly older kids. I like the positive and straight forward message. I also like the book Don't Call me Special which is more broad but also has a good message.

Just ok
Just ok. It's cheesy, it rhymes, it doesn't give that much information. I won't be using it to educate my children's elementary school classrooms.

Great Book Concept
I love the concept of the book. It was a great way to open up to my children about their baby sister in a very factual and direct way. The character illustrations were not my favorite.

Helpful book
Yes. It's a nice book explaining complicated concept in very simple language for kids. I gave it to school for teachers to read to kids to explain the difference. Teacher was very pleased.

Excellent Book; Must have!
This book has been such a great staple in our home and for use in our community. I've read it to my daughter's preschool aged daycare, preschool & kindergarten class. It's a good balance of talking about all our differences and also introducing young children to Down syndrome in a really age appropriate way for younger children. And it highlights strengths and positives about being different. The book rhymes as well so thats always fun. I'll actually be purchasing more copies of this book to gift to the school and daycare once we move on as I really think it's a book that should be out there more.
