Not for Me
The idea behind the product is good and the reviews are correct that the writing experience is great but, for me, that's where the good review ends.Note - I decided to buy this through Amazon as I trust them. After a day with the Remarkable I decided to return it and in fairness, it took less than a minute on the Amazon website to print a label to return the product and authorize a full refund........Five stars to you Amazon. The price point was one of the biggest issues, at £200.00 / £250.00 it would have been an interesting piece of kit to keep as a standby notepad but at £500.00 it had to rock my world, it didn't so I sent it back after a days use. Here are my issues:REFRESHYou could see the image/writing fade on and off as it refreshed like a 1980's computer.FILESThe system interface was relatively crude. I only put half a dozen files in and it was already looking confusing on the screen. By the time I have added additional files, it would have been difficult to scroll through. After a year of adding files I worry that the navigation of all these files would have been difficult. The point of this device for me was to keep notes over a period of years and be able to easily find a specific note, I doubt if this would have been the case.NAVIGATIONI'm so used to swiping through pages quickly on my ipad that I found having to press a button bottom left and bottom right very cumbersome and slow.FILES VANISHEDAfter less than a day working with it, all my files vanished.I got them back by turning it on and off so it was obviously a minor glitch but it left me worrying about long-term stability.PAGE SIZEI'm used to working with OneNote which has an infinite page system where you zoom in and out as required. The page on the Remarkable is a fixed size and smaller than A4 so I felt very cramped with notes that would normally be on A4 having to spread across a couple of pages.PAGE ORDERThis was one of the biggest issues for me.The whole point of this device for me was to keep an archive of notes over a period of time so I can go back to notes as a reference. Each time you add a page to a notebook it adds it as the next page. There is no facility to move the order of the pages. There are pages that are very important and I wanted to have these at the front of the notebook but the system did not allow me to move them.GENERAL LOOK OF GRAPHICSThe black and white image combined with the basic graphics made the device feel very 1980's...COMPUTER SYNC.This was reliable and worked well but once the note page was on the laptop screen you could not do very much with it, it seemed reasonably pointless syncing it to my laptop.SUMMARYIf you are looking for a basic digital notepad and the price point does not bother you this would be a good product. If, like myself, you are expecting to use this as the central place to take all your notes and you need the flexibility import different file types, export in different formats and manage the order of files to keep the information relevant as the files build over time then I think you would struggle and find this format limiting. At £200.00 ish I would have kept the Remarkable as an interesting little digital notepad in my bag but at £500.00 it didn't live up to my personal expectation.I have gone back to OneNote on my ipad.It imports and exports in any format.I can reorder pages and files at willThe sync to my laptop is automated and reliable allowing me to manipulate files, text and images on ipad or laptop format.

Truly remarkable!
I purchased this tablet last week after having had it recommended by a friend ans what a genuinelyamazing product this is!Having tried similar products in the past, I'd say one of the most notaleable difference is the reaction time from when you start writing on the tablet. Whilst on other tables I've tried it takes longer and you can tell that you're writing on a tablet and not paper, the reaction time on this tablet is so good (and impressive) and you truly do feel like you're writing on a real piece of paper.Other things that I like with this tablet is the design of the actually tablet. I also love the fact that there are no disturbing pop - ups so you can work without being disturbed. The battery is also really good and you don't have to constantly be charging it despite extensive use.As for negative feedback I actually can't think of anything. I've always thought that it's impossible to make a device that can truly replace a notepad whilst giving that paperlike feeling, however with reMarkable I think I've just found that device!I highly recommend this pproducy, and I'm excited to see what other products and features they'll offer in the future!

Great pen to tablet feel. Light and intuitive to use!
This product was a recommendation from a friend as I have struggled to use previous tablets to work with as I prefer writing on paper. This tablet has a great sensitivity to the pen, a lovely screen feel and responds quickly and intuitively to the marker provided. I love the paper templates available for lots of different uses (grids, calenders, tables, isometric backgrounds) - be that arty drawing or commenting on written documents. I've used it both for design drawings, as well as for scientific projects and reading of textbooks/papers.I have personally not had any problems with the eraser function as mentioned by other reviewers. I have noticed a small delay when flicking through a pdf from one page to the next.Overall I am very happy with the product. I love the different textures provided from the pen options, as well as the clear and simple layout of the interface. It definitely is the closest feel I have had to writing on paper but without the huge endless piles of scrap left in my office. I look forward to continuing to use my remarkable paper for both work and leisure!

Tries so hard but fails
This had so much potential despite being vastly overpriced even though I bought mine cheaper during the crowd funding stage. It feels OK and the writing experience is so realistically paper like but the software sucks. Pdf exports are HUGE and required manipulation post export to make them more acceptable. The whole system was just so quirky that I decided to list it on ebay and got back what I paid for it.
