OK...Id like to let everyone know that Im 59 years old and I am a professional musician ..meaning I work, play, tour teach and record as a musician full time...that is my job and livelihood....I have used Capos most of my life starting with the old school wrap around elastic style to the present day Kyser - Dunlop - Shubb - Glider Gl - G7th and many more...I just happened to read a post on Facebook of all places from BigDogGuitar and read the information...I was skeptical to say the least...The words "STAYS IN TUNE" and "CAPO" have never gone together legitimately! I have learned hard lessons over the years how to manipulate a capo on all my guitars to find that sweetspot...Some of my Les Pauls with medium and jumbo frets do not like the Capo at all! I 'll be honest here...I ordered a BigDog Capo simply because they looked cool as hell! ...And I figured Ive tried most of the others so why not! The package came straight away in a cool,little box just before Christmas and I immediately grabbed my 60's Les Paul Tribute with Jumbo Frets and slapped it on the 4th fret...and I was blown away from the first chord...She stayed in tune! Perfect tune...In my excitement I opened numerous cases from my guitars and went CAPO CRAZY!! Teles...Strat..Dannelectro...Les Paul...PRS...even my old chrome steel resonator....ALL stayed in PERFECT tune!!! I WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER CAPO OTHER THAN BIGDOG CAPOS EVER AGAIN!! Honest to God!! I’ve looked a long time for a capo that was strong enough to keep the guitar in tune regardless of where it is placed. From “Here Comes The Sun” to “Starting Over” to standard tuning. No retuning, ever. Thanks for a really good capo.

I dont know who these people are that are leaving this crap 5 stars but apparently, they have never owned a "quality" capo. I gave this two stars only cause of the look otherwise it would of gotten one.Pros: it comes in a very nice package and gives you the feel that you just bought a really nice item, they even include some picks.the gold looks great if you have a guitar with gold hardware. It looks really good on my Takamine.Cons: Its china made junk. The spring is extremely flimsy and i cant see this lasting very long at all. The gold plating has imperfections in it . It looks like they took the cheapest capo they could find and plated it just to make it look good. Overall, I would never buy this again, nor would I ever recommend this to anyone. in the past I have ordered two $3.00 capo's off ebay (for spares) and they are way better than this one.If you own any quality capo's like Planet Waves, Dunlop, Kyser etc... you will regret spending any money on this but will definitely get a great chuckle when you open the package and realized you got duped ...I never fall for ads on Facebook, but I came to Amazon to see if there were any reviews on this and I went solely on the Amazon reviews,which seemed great.So to everyone that gave this piece of junk 5 stars, you are truly misleading the rest of us.

The purchase and delivery of the Big Dog Guitar capo went even better than expected. The capo was at my front door two days ahead of schedule - excellent. When I opened the envelope, I found the capo carefully placed in a clever, guitar-string-box shaped package (it's slightly larger than a box of DR Strings) and inside was a stunningly beautiful gold capo that had been polished to a sweet and glowing shine. Thanks to the early delivery, I was able to try my Big Dog Guitar capo during my band's new years eve gig at a casino in Watertown, SD. I 'm happy to report that in addition to looking absolutely stunning under stage lights (in fact at times I found myself distracted by its allure) it also easily goes toe-to-toe with any capo I have used. Thanks Big Dog Guitar. I feel like I got a great deal on this capo.

Fits well. Very little if any adjustment. The spring is just the perfect pressure. I'm adding to the review several months after the purchase. I've been using it a lot and I feel it's the best capo I've ever had. If you have a guitar with strings a quarter inch off the fret board it may have some trouble. But a well adjusted guitar it works fast and easy. I have problems with my hand and have very little strength to work with, but it goes on easily with very little adjustment. I would like to find a second one for my other guitar. I use it on a Taylor guitar, a Crafter guitar, and a Sigma guitar. I've tried it on my fender american electric and it works great on it as well.

I bought this capo for my Dad. He uses it all the time when he plays his guitar. I'd say it was a good purchase.

I love my Golden Metal Guitar Capo. I lead a worship team at my church and have gotten lots of compliments on it. It really brings out my guitar and compliments both my electric as well as acoustic. I am very happy with quality of the sound as well as the product is very well made. Customer service is great as well with their tips on how to use the capo as well as checking up on satisfaction. Overall ... awesome product as well as customer service. Highly recommend this capo.

got fret buzz with this guitar capo but my crew on capos i didn't get fret buzz. gave capo to another band member and he uses it on his mandolin and loves it, but he gets fret buzz when he tried using capo on his guitar. 4/13/2015 edited:::: As if any product I received a defective capro, but seller made it right and sent me another which works wonderful..
