Melling Engine Oil Priming Tool
I needed a way to prime the oil system on an engine that holds about 10 quarts of oil, including the cooler. Although I had to custom machine a special fitting to adapt the Melling hose to my system, it worked perfectly! Highly recommended for anyone rebuilding an engine, as the oil system and engine oil galleries are primed with oil, so the engine doesn't start up "dry." The supplied fittings will work on most cars; I was working on an engine that utilized an odd thread pattern for the oil sender, hence the need to make a fitting. Excellent tool.

Good uses common pipe thread sizes
Made USA...hose and tank at least uses 1/4 thread itโs a male end only gripe is it has a air valve like a car tire I plan on removing and putting a air hose attachment like on my air tools just regulate down to 60 psi connect and walk away

Not same product advertised but will work.
Product is 100% fine but is not brand or model advertised. I received a Sealpower T40 instead of a Melling mpl101.

Good peace of mind
Used this to prime a newly rebuilt 7M-GE motor. Fitting connected snugly to oil pressure sender hole in block. Took longer to get the oil into the block than stated in the instructions.

Works right out of the box for 5.3 LS engines.
Pop of valve makes it easy to charge with air.

works great would have been nice to have a psi gauge on it may add one. no issues. fills air just like a tire with a schrader valve

It is well worth the money!!
This tool is a must for engine rebuilds. It worked flawlessly and just as it says.

It worked but could be improved
It did the job but for 200 dollars they should have had a better hose attachment to the fitting at the oil pressure sensor. The way you had to connect it was difficult I would have primed the engine before I dropped it back in the engine bay if I knew what a pain it was going to be to connect it after the engine was back in. But other than that it worked fine.
