Throne of Glass Set

Alright. Okay. I'll admit it. This book series was REALLY addictive. I'm so glad I got the whole set. And even though this is the complete series, I feel like there miiiight be a "Book 9" someday? Maybe? Hopefully? The main story is complete, but it'd be awesome to have a spinoff story someday. Like a "3 years later" sequel of sorts. Like the Southern Continent "Tower" story, it'd be awesome to have a "Wastes" story someday. As for these eight books, there aren't any explicit scenes until... Book 4? Maybe? The first few books were all "fade to black" on the steamy scenes, which I was I actually hoping/looking for in order to recommend this book series to teenagers. Unfortunately, since the steamy scenes get more detailed as the books go along, I won't feel right recommending this series to high school kids. They'll just have to find this series on their own someday... Which is such a shame because apparently the author wrote the first book when she was only 16! I would've loved to recommend this to kids of the same age. All in all, though, it's a great story. I definitely loved it the entire way through. Fingers crossed for a Book 9 someday focusing on Manon. Or Dorian. Or both. Here's to hoping. :D

The books arrived in perfect condition! I love it

So it came to me with an extra damage that I don’t really need buuut maybe that’s because it was delivered to me earlier than I expected. Other than the tear on the bookcase and on the upper part of the fifth book’s spine, I’d rate this 4/5. I love it! 💖💖

(Only a package a review! I haven't read the series yet!) The package arrived within the estimated date of arrival. However, I believe the way it was packaged, all wrapped up it brown tape, or where it was sent from (India) seemed suspicious or something, so it was opened by customs. The upper front corners are pretty damaged. I read other reviews where they had the same issue. But thankfully the books themselves mostly seems to be in somewhat good condition. The first book's (the assassin's blade) and the last book's (Kingdom of ash) have some slight damage, but it's not bad.

Maas ha costruito un mondo ricchissimo: castelli sospesi, foreste incantate, deserti pieni di segreti, città di vetro, biblioteche magiche e torri dimenticate. Ogni libro espande la mappa, sia letteralmente (le edizioni fisiche includono mappe bellissime), sia narrativamente, introducendo culture, popoli e mitologie originali. La presenza della magia – inizialmente bandita – riemerge con forza, portando con sé esseri arcani, stirpi dimenticate e una guerra imminente che tocca l’intero continente. Non c’è solo un “love interest” ma una vera evoluzione emotiva, con relazioni che maturano, si infrangono e si rinnovano, esattamente come nella vita. 🔥 COSA MI HA CONQUISTATO: ✅ Una protagonista forte, complessa e umanissima ✅ Una trama ricca di misteri, magie antiche e battaglie epiche ✅ Personaggi secondari che si rubano la scena (Manon, Dorian, Chaol, Rowan, Nesryn, Elide...) ✅ Temi profondi: libertà, identità, giustizia, perdita, amore, redenzione ✅ Colpi di scena gestiti con maestria – ci sono momenti in cui ti ritrovi a bocca aperta, letteralmente ✅ Un crescendo narrativo che parte in modo “classico” e diventa immenso ⚠️ QUALCHE NOTA DA TENERE A MENTE: I primi due libri hanno uno stile più “young adult”, ma da Heir of Fire in poi il tono diventa molto più maturo, sia nei temi che nella scrittura. Alcune edizioni segnalano copertine delicate (per chi ama collezionare in modo perfetto, un consiglio: aprite con attenzione, soprattutto Empire of Storms e Kingdom of Ash). L’ordine di lettura consigliato è quello cronologico, iniziando con The Assassin’s Blade, anche se molti preferiscono leggerlo dopo i primi due volumi per un impatto più emotivo. 🎯 IN CONCLUSIONE: VALE LA PENA? Assolutamente sì. Se ami il fantasy con una forte componente emotiva, un world-building curato, protagoniste toste, momenti struggenti e battaglie mozzafiato, allora Throne of Glass sarà una lettura indimenticabile. Il cofanetto è il modo perfetto per avere tutta la saga a portata di mano, e il design è davvero splendido. Una volta entratə in questo mondo, non vorrete più uscirne. ✨ "You could rattle the stars." – una delle citazioni più amate della saga. E fidatevi: vi scuoterà davvero.
