Excellent, specific use case Android tablet.
Excellent provided you understand what this is and are willing to put the time into it. This is a full fledged android tablet. While you can pick it up and basically just start reading, the value in this device comes from everything else you can do. I swapped out my launcher for Nova Launcher and set some icons to a rainbow chalk looking outline on a black background. I have quick access to both the Libby and Moon+ Reader apps from my main screen, which sync with my non-eInk devices so that I can read easily from any device. I also installed sudoku because why not? (I did watch some YouTube for the novelty of it. It's cool that it can do it at all, but... you're not going to be watching movies on this. Duh.) The screen is crisp and looks great, though it is a bit on the darker side due to the color filter. But the backlight on this thing is great and more than makes up for it. The thing weighs nothing and is very easy to hold. The battery is excellent if you consider this an android device and terrible if you consider it an eReader. Days of battery, not weeks, which still beats an OLED. Uh... the official case and attachment mechanism are terrible. It's a joke. A wad of gum would hold the case on better. There is a single line of magnets on the back of the device that "hold" the case on to the device. A loose shake will break that connection. I frequently accidentally open the wrong side up very easily. I'm not gonna take away a star over it but you should look into a third party case that actually grips the corners and edges instead of relying on the offical case.

Defective screen
Screen was defective - came with a vertical line through it. Had to return it. Played with it for a bit before I did and it’s still not for me. There’s just so much ghosting. Font isn’t as crisp as on my kindle. And then kindle app is pretty buggy. Really wanted to love it because of the turn page buttons - but I don’t.

E-reader or a tablet.
I found this color e-reader interesting mainly because it was unusual to see e-ink in a color version. That alone made it stand out to me, and I was genuinely curious to try it. The device itself left a positive first impression, and I liked the idea of having a color e-reader instead of the usual black-and-white one. That said, after using it, I realized that I personally still prefer a regular monochrome e-reader for most reading. The color was nice to have in theory, but in practice I felt that it was not enough to make a big difference for me. Maybe I just got used to traditional e-ink, but since I do not read comics, I did not find a strong advantage in the color display for my own use. I have also ordered devices from other brands before, and my conclusion is the same: for comic books, I still feel that a normal tablet with an OLED screen is the better option. It gives a much more vivid and satisfying color experience, which matters a lot more for that type of content. Because of that, I would not recommend this technology as a great solution for comics. To be clear, this is not a criticism of the brand or the specific model itself. My opinion is about the color e-ink technology in general. It is an interesting concept and a nice step forward, but for my needs it does not fully replace either a traditional e-reader or a tablet

Great little android book reader with minor quirks
This is a very capable android book reader. I love being able to use android reading apps that aren't just Kindle. I especially use Logos Bible App and obsidian for notes. Perfect. Coming from a tablet, the battery is great. It does take some customization and fiddling to get settings to work right, like: scroll/page turn, refresh rates, etc. But I'm the kind of person who likes that customized experience. Also, I'm not a fan of the user interface, but it is servicable. The one thing that I truly don't like is that I can't keep 2 apps 'in memory' so that I can quickly switch between them. There is a "lock" button on the task switcher, which I assumed would keep the locked apps in memory. But it doesn't work well...only very rarely it works. Otherwise, each time I switch to a different app, it has to completely reload, and the other app I want open fully clears from memory. Maybe it's a bug. Anyway, all in all, depending on use case, this is a great product.

Incredible on both extreme ends.
Please do not purchase this intending to use it for writing or more than minor marking. The writing is the worst of any tablet/stylus I've ever encountered. Yet the USI pen writes flawlessly with the Go 6 Gen II, so whatever BOOX has going on with this specific hardware stack isn't it. Battery and systen RAM sucks too. Love the software ecosystem, the physical buttons, and all the generic ereader features. Great price performance, and its my travel ereader.

Decent.
I ended up returning it just because I felt the kindle was way more fluid. Overall, it was a decent product, just felt bogged down.

One of the best ereaders out there if you know android
So far so good not run into any issues people on the low end of reviews ran into. have a very very large library and no crashing, as for other things seems to be for those that are familiar with android. Being able to have my bookwalk and kindle app has been great, the battery drain seems a bit worse than a kindle much worse if you keep wifi or bluetooth on hate to see it if both were active. also up to 1tb sdcard a hoarders dream. as an ereader it is great prefer it over my kindle any day!

Love it!
Love it! Takes a minute to set everything according to your exact preference but once you do, it’s a dream! Ive had mine for almost 4 months and I can’t live without it. I especially love that I’m not bound to any ecosystem. And! I can write in my PDFs with my stylus (can only do notes without one). Love the buttons, love the size, love the customization- love love love it. Wish it had better battery life but it’s still really good. Have to charge every 3-4 days w all day use, but it’s fine. Charges super fast and you can use it while it’s charging, tho I’ve never done that. Anyhow, I recommend it! 10 out of 10.
