Smart Plug Mini Enabled WiFi Outlet Socket, Compatible With Alexa and Google Home Assistant, No Hub Required, LUMIMAN 2 Pack

These were the cheapest version of smart-outlet box I could find, so I was a bit leery, but took the gamble. Well worth it. Although getting it set up was a BIT of a pain, I managed to get everything linked up to my wifi and my Google Home successfully - eventually. The problem was probably my issue with a wifi password, not the outlet.This isn't advertised as for being outside, but I use mine outside anyway and it's worked great for a few months. No fires or anything and it turns my outside lights on too.The second one I put on the front yard plug for all of my halloween and holiday decorations. Because of this handy device, I just have to say, "Ok Google, turn on (off) my holiday lights," and BAM! Everything is on (or off) without my having to open a door and let the cold in! Genius! If I'm in bed and forgot to turn off the lights, rather than get up, get dressed and go outside, I just have to tell Google to turn them off, and bam, they're off. Love it.

This was my first time installing anything electrical. I watched tons (and tons) of videos of professionals installing to make sure I did this correctly. It was a little difficult for me to figure out how much wire so it would stay inside the new outlet. I had some struggle bus issues with this. It also took multiple times over several hours to connect to my wireless. Once everything was set up it worked great. I have not figured out how to have Alexa integration for this.Update: several months after installation, we had severe storms causing hours of power flicking. The outlet did not like this and would not link up to the wireless. I finally uninstalled from the app, reset my room breaker and then reconnected (it took hours!) to my network. I don’t know that I will purchase another outlet. I’ve not had any of the issues from the wall plug in like I’ve had with this one.

I'm not a quitter so I just tried 2 more LUMIMAN smart plugs.1. Despite the little instruction manual that says to download the LUMIMAN app from play store, that app no longer exits on the google website.2. Tried using the Tuya app and got one of the 2 smart plugs to connect on 2.4Ghz WiFi. The 2nd smart plugs would not connect.3. Tested the power outlets on front of the smart plugs and NEITHER of them could turn ANY light or appliance ON or OFF.BOTTOM LINE: I'm totally done with LUMIMAN products. C ya!

updated on 4/15/20: Since our move, they were not in use for awhile. We recently brought them back online, but it only stayed on for 5 mins, then they quit working. The blue lights are on, but no power sent to the units. Two out of two went dead.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I normally don't write reviews, but I am actually pretty happy with this purchase.We are selling our home, realtor agent only comes in to turn some of the lights on prior to any showings. There is a theater room that has the floor string lights that add the value to the property, but realtor often forgets to turn it on. I ordered this item and control the on/off remotely, it has been functional for the last two and half months. very happy with it and the app is very simple and easy to use too. Highly recommend this product!!

These WiFi Outlet Plugs definitely get 5 Stars. This has been a truly exceptional purchase experience. The Lumiman product IS truly amazing! I ordered and received a 2 Pack of these WiFi plugs very recently at a very inexpensive price. Unfortunately one of the plugs arrived not working correctly. All I had to do was email Lumiman (within the Amazon App) and the company actually emailed back within a few hours. On a Sunday!! They let me know that they were going to ship out a replacement plug as soon as possible and they didn't even ask me to send the non-working one back. Needless to say I will definitely be ordering more of these plugs for my home very soon and I will continue to do business with them in the future. All anybody could ever ask for is to buy a high quality product, that does exactly as advertised, and when a problem arises the company treats you as exceptionally as they treated me. I ordered these earlier this month and they worked great and I loved the fact that they only took up one spot on the outlet and left the other free for other electrical cords. They both worked well and I programed them to respond to Alexa. However, I just ordered two more, and neither worked. So disappointing. Have ordered similar smart plugs from another company that seemed to get a lot of good reviews.

So far so good. Aside from having drama with Alexa as she has hearing problem -- probably need to send her to the ear doctor, this product has been wonders to me. I rely on this product heavily especially keeping some appliances and electronics off. I don't have to unplug plugs off manually when I can tell Alexa to do so.

It was a bit tricky to figure out how to set-up (I think it was also due to my WiFi setting) but once I’d figured it out, the 2nd one was very easy to set-up. I love this since I’m able to turn on/off lights if we are away from home.

So I will cover off all the topics that I researched before buying, and confirm them for you.1) This does works with Alexa / Echo Dot (I am in Canada)2) There is no hub required, just an initial app to connect them, then you add them to Alexa App3) You can unplug them, and plug them back in without having to set up again4) There are very easy to get connected, no issue connecting any of the 65) The "click" sound when they turn on/off is a bit loud, but not a big deal

Got a six pack these to integrate with Google Home.They work perfectly well - easy to set up, no issues controlling plug in devices ( box fans, coffee maker, television ) with these.The control App/service is - however - complete s#&t, which wouldn't even let me register properly through my phone.Thankfully, some kind reviewer had mentioned the "Smart Life - Smart Living" App, so I tied that. Absolutely no issues there setting up an account, configuring plugs, or connecting them to Google Home. Try that instead.

I bought these because they claimed they integrated with Alexa easily. I also got them as they were small not big and bulky like I have bought from another company. As claimed these were so simple to set up and integrate. Took me less them 3 mins to set up and then set up with Alexa. Instructs were so helpful to which was nice to see as some manuals can be horrendous to figure out. The plugs were small so it didn't over power the other plugs and allowed me room to connect other plugs in the same outlet.The price was amazing as well especially for a pack of 6 plugs. Impressed enough that I will be purchasing more down the road. Completely recommend these.

Two of the 6 plugs did not work. I contacted the supplier.All I wanted is the two that were defective replaced.No response....

Couldn't be happier. I bought a 6 pack to use with various lamps in my house in conjunction with my Google Home. Super easy to set up and integrate into Google Home. I am able to turn on all my main floor lights when I am in my driveway which makes it easy to see when coming home at night. I will be buying another 6 pack.
