Beginning Archer Very Pleased
Just got into archery and have always wanted to try an English longbow. This KP bow is very nicely made and surprisingly easy to shoot. I have another longbow, same size and draw weight, but a bit fancier and a lot more expensive. Can't tell any difference between them. Terrific value!

I would buy this again.
I am really happy with what I recieved. My first u finish bow and it was delivered pretty well finished I put a light stain, polyurethane and wax. With a piece of suede for where the arrow passes and some sports grip tape for the grip. Easy peasy and fun for outdoor and indoor range at the club.

good value
I shoot mostly Asiatic/Turkish style bows also called horse bows. It had been a long time since I shot a self bow or stick bow so I thought I'd give this a try.At 60 bucks I can't complain. This is in the style of the English Long Bow (ELB) only in hickory instead of yew.It is a D shape bow with no grips or arrow rest. You can shoot it either left or right handed with Mediterranean or thumb draw. It would be easy enough to add a leather grip if you like. It came with a nice Flemish twist string but the string had no center serving. I'll have to add one. Length was 70" knock to knock and 72" tip to tip. The advertised weight was #40/28" and I got #41.8 so, good there. Knocks were cut a little uneven but they work. Arrow speed was 119 FPS with a 500 grain arrow. The only problem was string follow or set. The bow arrived fairly straight, just a little de-flex maybe 1/2 inch. After ten minutes of shooting and unstringing the bow the string follow had grown to 3" from belly to string (unstrung) See photo. Hickory is pretty tough wood in tension but not so much in compression and the rounded belly just adds to the stress. I'm still surprised at the amount of set this bow took in such short time. I didn't have my moisture meter but I believe the wood is a bit green. I may sinew the back of it and square the belly a little just for practice, that may straighten it some and prevent more set from occurring, but probably not No complaints just stating facts. Can be a nice shooter for one interested in traditional bows.

Great value!
This is a great value for the money. Well shaped and strong. Very happy with this for a self bow.

Probably received a lemon, nonexistent customer service
Tiller is off-meaning that one limbs bends more than the other. There is also a lateral bend in one of the limbs. What worries me even more is the way the grain runs at an angle to the bow. In addition, the nocks were poorly carved and not at all as represented in the pictures. On my piece they are crooked, uneven in size/depth, and the string barely hangs on.I tried contacting the seller on the 25th (5 days ago) and heard nothing. Tried again through amazon a couple days later and still no response. Awaiting amazon's decision on whether or not I'll be refunded.

Great basic bow and easy to finish to taste.
Nice smooth pull. At 40 lb no shock or stacking. Made grip from boot shoestring. Finished with light coat of brown kiwi then sealed with mineral oil and beeswax making grip and bow waterproof. Now slightly darker than plain but has rich finish in wood and grain.

Great for traditional archers
Loved the bow. Very traditional feel and look. I added a leather grip and have enjoyed shooting with traditional wooden arrows. Recommend.
