Men’s Handkerchief 6 pc Set Bamboo 17 x 17 Inch Multi Color

I purchased these handkerchiefs based on the other reviews. Unfortunately, they aren't as wonderful as I had hoped. They do not hold up well in the wash (and, yes, I did follow washing instructions). The texture and sheen of the fabric changed dramatically after one wash and the edges of the handkerchiefs curled terribly. In the picture I posted the handkerchief on the left is an unused unwashed handkerchief, as compared to the handkerchief on the right which is been washed one time. I'm disappointed. :-(

So, I just began using cloth handkerchiefs as a possible solution to the billions of tissues we go through in our 2.5 person home (lots of allergies). I bought these and also several different bamboo flannel cloths to try this out. These men's hankies are my very favorite of all. They are very soft and gentle and a nice size for when the big sneeze attacks strike. Also, they don't pick up little bits of lint like flannel does. One issue that might really bother others is that they get very wrinkled in the wash. This is minor for me. I'm not trying to impress anyone. I kind of wish they didn't have the fancy trim around the edges. That just gets in the way for me. But these are still a great choice if you happen to be looking for exactly what I was. Oh, it would be great if they were affordable enough to buy a lot because using cloth hankies means a lot of washing.5/17 update: I have been using these exclusively for months now for my daily- seriously, daily!- allergy attacks (sneezing, tons of mucky nose blowing. I don't know why I've been recently cursed with this malady). I just now bought more of these because, recently I slacked on the laundry and ran out of clean ones. I had grabbed some paper tissues during a sneeze attack and, wow! They were like sandpaper to me ( these were good tissues, puffs ultra soft. I wouldn't buy less). I have been completely spoiled by the bamboo hankies. I'm ruined. I am aware that they don't feel as soft to the touch as a lot of bamboo fabric out there... I own a lot of bamboo tees. I consider myself an expert. But I'm so surprised by all the reviews saying how very not soft these are. They certainly don't feel like linen to me. I once rejected sleeping in a bed that had linen sheets because they were too rough (Oh, yeah. I have bamboo sheets too). Maybe they've gotten softer after many washings, and I wash them like everything else- unscented detergent and wool dryer balls in the dryer... No fabric softener. Anyway, I obviously still love them, I still don't care about the wrinkles, and I still could do without the decorative edges. I need all the soft, smooth surface I can get.

These are excellent. They're thick, soft and lush. I'm not clear on why others are having issues, though there's some basics you should know. Machine washing is fine, though if you have stains make sure to pre-treat/hand wash if seriously soiled. The edges have stayed clean and straight. If you're looking for a super crisp handkerchief then ironing will be required. I have had them hold up very nicely in the drier. I do my wash on "Cool" (a misnomer, hot water is still part of the cycle) and my dryer is on "Medium" I suspect some of the other reviewers may be washing and drying on high heat, which may lead to less than desirable effects (edges shrinking most notably.) I've had them for months now and after the first two wash/dry cycles they've become nice and soft. The thread count is holding up nicely and we'reBottom line - if you're looking for an affordable good quality product, that's an alternative to cotton, look no further.

I have been looking for a decent, usable handkerchief for my husband for a couple of years now. Everything I found was very thin and he hates those. I didn't want a pocket square but a decently thick handkerchief that he could actually use to blow his nose! When I saw the Bamboo fabric of these and read the reviews, I figured I would order and let him give them a try. The fabric is certainly thicker though it doesn't feel as thick once the sizing is washed out of them, but still better than the thin cottons we bought previously. Be aware they do shrink a lot...from the original 17" to 14.5" on one side and about 15.5 on the other. Some of the hems seams, usually close to the corners, curl as if the thread shrunk. One thing in their favor is that they are super soft after washing. Jury is still out as to whether we will order more until he has used them a while and they have been through a couple more washes.

These handkerchiefs were soft, supple and white, white! I was concerned that they wouldn't be very white, but they are a pure white. I washed them and then dried them in the dryer to see how much they would shrink. The shrinkage was minimal. They went from 17"x17" to 16"x15". They are still larger than the cotton ones we owned. For a nice look, I would suggest ironing them, but they are not bad straight from the dryer either. The corners are the only "crinkly" parts when they aren't ironed.We will see how they hold up, but they appear to be very well-made and of a beautiful fabric. I have added photos to show ironed and not ironed, the drape, and two images comparing an older older cotton handkerchief that was freshly laundered and ironed for size and thinness of material.We will definitely buy again. It is just a handkerchief, but nice enough to get excited about!

These were a gift for my son. It's my second time I've bought these hankies for him since he liked the first purchase so much! Because he's a cancer survivor, radiation and chemo have made his skin very sensitive. Many products irritate his skin but he says these handkerchiefs don't. The fact that they are very soft and wash up well are certainly selling points. Additionally, the delivery time was super speedy...a definite plus. Thanks so much!
