TV Antenna Preamplifier by NoCable | 4g Filtered + Splits OTA Signal Between 2 TVs + Powered, Low Loss, Adjustable Gain

We purchased this Preamplifier because we live in an area where two of the three major networks are notoriously difficult to receive over-the-air. We live near Jacksonville, FL, close to the Cecil Field Airport. CBS 47 is easily received. NBC 12 and ABC 25 are notoriously difficult to receive even though their transmitting towers are only 19 miles from our home. The indoor TV antennas we’ve tried, won’t get all three, even with amplification. CBS plus zero or one of the other two are the norm. With this Preamp installed on a NoCable 30 antenna, it took some work to find the right location, in our case in a window. The recommended direction was NE and we had to settle for E-NE. During installation I shimmed the antenna to point NE and there was no difference. One thing that gets little or no mention in in anybody’s installation directions is clocking (physically rotating of the antenna from its normal squared, cable-down position). Once we found the sweet spot for location and pointing, we could still only get CBS plus one other. We rotated the antenna 90 degrees clockwise (cable comes out not at the bottom, but at the at the 9 c’clock position as viewed). Bingo! We had our solution.If I buy a product on Amazon and never have to contact customer support, it can earn up to five stars on its merit. If I have to contact customer support for anything, the best the product can do is four stars. The fifth star comes from my customer support experience. I had to contact NoCable customer support for installation advice. They were super. Four stars for a product that none other I tried could do, the fifth for customer support.With this Preamplifier, we get 38 channels, including WJXT, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, and TBN.

I did not use this to split a signal, but instead to filter my signal and boost it to one TV. The one channel I needed to improve (MEtv channel 33.1), was not improved. This is on low-V so maybe there is no product that can help with this, So I hesitate to give the preamp a low rating for this.

It was not able to boost the clarity but the splitter was able to produce a strong signal on both my TV and AirTV device.I would recommend it for anyone who wants to split their TV input signal between two devices.

Just built a new home. I live about 50 miles from most of the station towers. As I added TVs, signal began to degrade. By adding the amplifier, I have been able to stabilize my signal in the house. We now have 6 drops wired up. Also with the dual outputs, I balanced connection impedance across both outputs so that I do not have to worry about overdriving some TVs while not having enough signal for others.

This amplifier works very well. Many others I have tried offer little to no improvement in signal stability. I am 50 miles SE of Cleveland with my antenna rotor is stuck pointing away from Cleveland and I am getting stable signals ABC, NBC FOX, CBS and many others.

Can increase up to 20 dbm for the signals. Easy to install.

Works as advertised gave my signal a boost and helped get in more channels and built in spliter is nice to have wired up in bedroom and living room. Would not use outside though does not seem to be very weather resistant. Play with the gain lvl to find best signal.
