I, like most guys who grew up in the 70's, was and am a huge Bruce fan, and I've read just about everything ever written about him. I agree with other reviewers in that this bio is the most informative and heartfelt account of Bruces' life, written by a musician by the way! Bruce Thomas does an excellent job conveying to the reader his views on what made Bruce Lee such an electrifying human being, without it being blind hero worship. Bruce's supreme confidence and his normal human fears are explored. For fans like myself who are interested in Bruce's extraordinary martial arts abilities, Mr.Thomas delves into this aspect better than it's ever been done! Just the BEST Bruce Lee book you can get - get it and "Be WATER my friend".

A well written book with emphasis on the creative spirit of Lee and his attitude to the martial arts, Kung Fu in particular. It covers all his well known traits and movies, and the make-up of the man himself.. very insightful. a great read. will keep and read again from time to time. A must for any Bruce Lee admirers or followers. Jeet Kun do, Lee's own brand, a way of life not just a martial art.

This is a very well written book on Bruce Lee. It not only delves into his meteoric rise to fame but it reveals the struggles that he had to face to achieve it. His philosophical views are astute too! 5 stars all the way!

A seeker of the truth, he shares Bruce's truth; as much as we know. Truly an amazing book that delivers on just about all aspects of Bruce Lee and not just soaking up or basking in his glory but getting to the very reality that was Bruce Lee! Even if you are slightly interested in Bruce, pick up this book and you'll never think of him the same way.

This was one of the more unbiased books about Bruce Lee. the other books on the market tend to show Lee as if he were some kind of Martial Arts God instead of a person who actually was capable of being human. I mean the guy wasn't Bodhidharmma.

Im dritten Schritt schließt sich dann an, was zur gleichen zeit in Bruce Lee's Leben geschah.Tolles Buch, ruck zuck durchgelesen :-)

Anyone wishing to read the definitive story of Bruce Lee, should read this, it does not glorify the man, it goes beyond his screenpersona, to the everyday man paying bills, and coping with life, even after his sad demise, it raises questions and attempts to answerthem, a lot must be left to the readers own assumption for obvious reasons, but the evidence is laid bare, formulate your ownconclusion to the mans death, more interesting is his attitude to life, he did not give in, he just found a way around his problems,a truly great read, I shall read again, now, Super writing from Bruce Thomas,.
