Like dealing with wet sand
Sorry but I didn't like this product. I was cooking tonkatsu pork chops, so I needed to absorb about a small to medium sized pot of oil. The instructions were not exactly clear how much to use. I wasn't sure what to look for, so I kept pouring until the oil looked less wet. It was like handling wet sand, spooning it into a trash can. I got about 2-3 uses out of one box.2 stars for being made out of renewable resources.If you are close to a Japanese supermarket, look for an oil absorber called Katameru Tenpuru. It is a much better product and comes in a box of 7-10 packets, 1 packet per 600 ml of oil. You'll know once it's ready to go into the trash because it solidifies into one solid chunk you can flip into the trash. It's also made out of seaweed.

Works perfect for disposing of oil and grease!
Works great after frying food. Its absorbs grease and oil easily for disposal. We have a septic system so we avoid putting oils and grease down the drain. This works perfect for us.

It didn't absorb the oil at all. Very disappointed.
