If there is a long lost,out of print title that deserves to be updated,then it has to be this,the first ever book about the legendary Pogues.The Lost Decade first hit the bookshelves in November 1988,the author, Ann Scanlon,spent the best part of two years,travelling with the band,reviewing gigs,interviewing everyone associated with this remarkable outfit.Since The Pogues reformed in 2001,following their split in 1996,there have been several books written about the band as well as others written about lead vocalist and main songwriter Shane MacGowan.This book has been out of the public domain for a long time,there are second hand copies available,via the internet.I am frequently asked by Pogues fans if i was prepared to sell them my copy,the offers have been.....well above its market value!So,there must be someone out there in the publishing world willing to reissue this classic.Do Omnibus still own the sole rights?
