Dared Mini Hybrid Integrated Amplifier & Preamplifier Wireless/USB DAC

I would actually give this amp 4 1/2 stars as I do like it alot. Looks great, built very well, has a better than decent headphone amp, it is quiet, dac doesn't hum, nice power, great size for a computer. I am at the computer alot for business and personal use. Mostly watching/listening to video's related to the current state of the economy and some music. The amp sounds very natural as is. I bought some new old Tesla tubes from Czechoslovakia before it became the Czech republic and it did improve the sound but I also want to switch out the power tube as well. I showed the amp to the folks at the one genuine electronics repair place here in Vegas and their actual words were "If this amp was built here in the states, it would cost twice as much". They were impressed with the quality. My current set up is Dared Mini Hybrid integrated, Imac Desktop, LSA Statement I Monitors. Reference grade usb cable, upgraded power chord, jw audio cryogenic bi-wire speaker wires. I would have given this amp 5 stars but i am fairly critical when it comes to music listening. If you are looking for greater separation of instruments, more 3 dimensionality of soundstage, better detail resolution, it won't do what more expensive amps will do ...but for general listening, it is quite good. My only negative comment is that this same amp in Rose gold is now offered on sale at $369 with free shipping. I am not complaining, even at the higher price. Hope this helps? Thanks Jeff
