I purchased this for a trip to China. I was going to use it for an electric blanket. It was well within the rated power. It worked great for a good 5 seconds or so until it left the smoke out of the blanket controller. Bummer. I never got around to returning it. I brought it along for my next trip for some reason. This time I was just using it as a extension cord. I plugged a usb adapter in. It was even rated for 220 volts. This time I didn't even get 5 seconds. It made some unhappy noises. Then the nose stopped and that's the last time it ever charged my phone. Now I'm out an electric blanket and a USB adapter.

Our family used this on multiple trips internationally and it has come in super handy.We can charge multiple phones with the 4 USB ports and it charges very rapidly.It also serves as a power strip for our US laptops when we are traveling abroad.Comes with a handy pouch to keep everything neat. It's awesome

First time using the converter in UK resulted in sparks and smoke from a trustworthy 80W heating pad. Totally destroyed the pad, although the converter survived. Since it was rated for 2000W, powering something at only 80W should have been fine. Didn't trust it again on the trip. Didn't even want to use the USB ports for fear of frying an expensive phone or tablet. Purchased at the start of the year while planning two trips, so can't even use the 60 day guarantee.

Bought this for a trip to Europe. Worked great for hair dryer, curling iron, shavers, etc. Comes with the various plug adapters and a carrying case. USB plugs (4) are a nice plus.

Work great we didn't experience any problems with them while visiting Europe

Noise issuing from devices

Bought this to use on two of my devices that were not switchable on their own. Burnt out one of them and it barely supplied any power to the other device. Tried to plug in a phone charger as well and it burnt that out as well. 2 devices I have to replace now thanks to this hunk of junk
