Helping me every step of the way with my profession. If I don't understand something (i.e. HVAC system, or electrical load, vent pipes, foundation fundamentals, opening details, etc.) I can quickly find the chapter to gain basic understanding and knowledge of the topic. I'm also using this book to study and prepare for my last two divisions of ARE. This book is much easier to understand than other textbooks (others might be more in depth but many times way too technical). I'm not an engineer so when a book is too focused on too much technicality, I feel that is irrelevant (at least for designer's perspective). This book will have just right amount of information to fully understand the topic and apply to your building design. Highly recommend it!

I think the 5th edition is what I purchased back in 1976 as a young student of architecture. I have found the book invaluable and I am very happy with the new edition. The included DVD is also awesome.

there is good knowledge in structural design for architects basic i go deep in reinforced concrete structural design.

Invaluable reference, covering all aspects of architecture fundamentals. A CD-ROM on back cover has additional 100s key references. A made it a gift to my niece who is a young architects.

I loved this book, it's very helpful.But I was not very benefited by it, because I'm still freshmen in architecture school.It will be very helpful for those who are advanced in architecture and designing.And I'm definitely gonna use it in my future studies.
