My violin teacher recommended this to me so I bought it, affordable price, better than I expected!

I picked up this bow because it was cheaper then return shipping to China for a violin set with a damaged bow I had previously purchased. It's about what you should be expecting from a bottom-dollar item: It wasn't destroyed on delivery, and isn't falling apart before I touched it. Rosin was successfully applied and all the hair didn't fall out or apart. Frog only slightly adjusts tension of hairs, but it's good enough to make taught and loosen so the hairs are maintainable. The wood is warped in such a way that there's no space between the wood and the hairs, but I know nothing about whether the wood is supposed to be warped or straight, the one I got from the Chinese company was also warped and placed side by side look like they came out of the same machine so I assume that the design is intentional. 10 outta 10, would pick California company over China company again.

Very beautiful bow. Carefully handled and great for beginners. There was a piece of plastic around the silver winding that I couldn’t get off right and it made that part sticky. But everything else was great.

Ours arrived in good condition. It is not bent or warped in any wrong way, it's very usable. I went to violin making school and worked in a shop for years. I guess it's misleading to say it's a silver-mounted frog, because it's a nickel-mounted frog. But I'll stay with this brand when my daughter outgrows her current fiddle.

Horrible bow i put a tiny bit of pressure not even enough pressure to play and it snapped I would definitely say don’t buy a bow off Amazon and go to a store or a website that has better bows that work to the price of it.

This violin bow arrived in pristine condition. I was surprised at the quality this bow is, as to the price.It is exactly as it is described to be. The hairs were NOT falling out and looks like one of those overpricedbows.The horse hairs tighten perfectly, and takes rosin very well. It is light and once rosined, it plays the stringsas any bow that I have ever used. There was only one review when I purchased this bow, I agree with thatone reviewer. If you buy this bow, I seriously don't believe that you will regret it...
