About Scentsational Scentsational Soaps was founded by Toushonta Hogan in 2007. Toushonta has a business administration degree with a concentration in Human Resources from California State University, Dominguez Hills. After graduation, she went on a relentless campaign to find a position that will utilize her educational business expertise. After unsuccessful attempts of locating the ideal job, she became worried. A close friend brought her a bar of natural soap. Toushonta was so intrigued by the properties of the soap as well as the effect it had on her skin that she decided to make her own. After positive reviews from her test market, Toushonta became thankful that her job search was unsuccessful as she found her purpose-Scentsational Soaps.. Toushonta started with glycerin soaps and transitioned into cold pressed soaps using no mineral oil, animal testing or preservatives. The success of her business has allowed her to transition into bath salts, body butter, sugar scrubs, candles, body mist, and body soufflé. Her relentless focus on growing her business is attributed to the fighting spirit her mother, who is a two-time breast cancer survivor. Her two children are also constant reminders that she has no choice but to create and maintain a business that helps people. Her philosophy is nature has provided all the tools we need for optimal health and her business expansion can soothe the world in ways nature intended.
