Michael Kelly Guitars CC55ES Custom Collection 1955 Solid-Body Electric Guitar, Dark Striped Ebony

Bah. You get what you pay for. Twisted neck. Crude, poorly made nut. BAD fret buzz on g,b,and especially e from 1 to 5-7 frets. Bump at about 14. Pickups ok, but just meh. Body is nice and tuners are too. I had high hopes. Maybe I just got a lemon.

I have been a professional musician for the last 30 years. In that time I have learned to appreciate custom made instruments much more than store bought "Name Brand" items. I learned of this luthier primarily through Amazons 'product videos' and You Tube. My suggestion is if you want to shell out thousands of dollars for a name, that is your business. If you want to make a smart purchase of a fine quality instrument, look at what Mr. Michael Kelly is turning out! This guitar is visually stunning!!!!! Perfect and flaw free! Sonically it is the most versatile guitar I have ever played. It is not a 'one-trick pony'. Beautifully set up from the factory, I barely had to tune it up. I bought a wonderful classic case with it and I play it through a Line 6 2x10 amp. Mr. Kelly is amazing. He has won a lifelong customer and a free promoter in South Carolina. I am telling, showing and playing this for everyone I know to shout it from the roof tops. Great Job Mr. Kelly and kudos to Amazon for distributing such fine instruments!

I can't say enough about this guitar. It's my first "big boy" guitar, and I could not be happier with the purchase. It sounds absolutely amazing, the tone is incredible, and the coil tap system has me toying endlessly finding all three wonderful sounds this guitar has to offer. It's the Swiss army knife of pickups, and there's something for everyone.I will absolutely be picking up another one of this maker's guitars in the future.

This guitar is amazing. The build quality is top notch and visually stunning.The neck is straight and harmonically correct at the 5th, 7th,12th fret. Pickups go from Growl to Jazz giving the range I look for/need/expect.The striped ebony top is beautiful and the wood binding only enhances.I have too many electrics (fender/yamaha etc) and this addition passed the "deserted Island test".(If you could only choose one ....This would be it for me, assuming of course, that there was electricity on this fictional island).

I was looking for a Tele style with humbuckers because I love my MIM Fender Tele deluxe. This guitar is every bit it equal. The looks are awesome, the coil tap gives multitude of options and it was barely out of tune right out of the box, so someone at least checked it out before shipping. Couldn't be happier

I used to play music professionally and this company gave me a full endorsement. If you are on the fence because you are not familiar with the name of the company. I was a Gibson Les Paul and Fender Telecaster guy for most my life. Until my band and I got our gear stolen in Texas. Michael Kelly has reached out to us a few times prior to the theft. And we were so stubborn and stuck in our ways we thought we were too good to play. Until tens of thousands of dollars worth of gear was gone. We took the endorsement and they were great and the gear was pro and taught us all a lesson. I still had one Les Paul but preferred their guitars over it. I’m buying this guitar as we speak. Ciao

I got my Michael Kelly CC55EB in May of 2015 it is now Dec 2015. I have 38 guitars in my collection including 5 PRS's 7 Les Pauls, 5 strats and 3 tele's a couple of Martins and a mixture of high end others. I am not saying this to brag, I am saying this to show how I feel about my first MK.This guitar right out of the box blew me away with the beauty. It has floated right to the top of my every day practice instrument. The Rockfield pupsare so pleasing and I dont mean in a mellow kind of way. They seem to stay right together untill it's time to start breaking up and wow I am just blown away. I love the bolt on neck on my CC55EB . It just feels right. I will be putting another MK in my collection soon. I'm lookin at one of the strat models in fact the ebony one is what I'm lookin at.If you want a very nice guitar at a fair price , I can recommend the CC55EB with no holds barred.
