After installing several electrical accessories to an ATV, I wanted a switch to shut down power for long periods when the machine wouldn't be used. I was looking at more typical battery switches like on larger battery systems. I have one on a boat with two batteries. The battery well on the ATV, under the seat, is space limited though. This small switch sits on top of the battery bolted into one of those terminals with a square nut sitting within it. I find these difficult if you are adding any extra wires/terminals because the bolt then won't reach the nut unless you prop it up with a small wedge like a micro screwdriver or toothpick. The other side of this switch has a nice long bolt for adding multiple wires with ring terminals easily. The simple switch seems to operate fine, just unscrew the knob until power is disconnected. Easy install and the price is right. I used it on the negative side to interrupt the ground but I suppose it could be used on the positive instead. I would recommend it.

This was put on our 2020 Waverunner VX Cruiser. When installing, the original battery bolt was too short (I see a few others had the same problem based on their reviews). I noticed there is a nut under the terminal that falls a few cm when the bolt is removed. I put the original bolt back into the nut and slid a zip tie under the nut to hold the nut higher and in place. The original bolt was long enough to catch after that and I simply pulled the zip tie out once it was connected. No extra parts or filing necessary. Works as advertised. Now we'll see if it holds up to my son's riding.

It works great and good up to 50 amps. My only problem is the screw on the battery ia too short. The other screw with the battery was too long. Had to use a couple washers to make it work. Other than that I am happy with the product

What a great value! Add a super high current cutoff switch to your battery to increase safety and eliminate unneeded drain. A simple and very reliable manual switch, all you do is twist the knob which either forces contacts open or closed. Easily attaches to screw post (SLA/AGM) batteries in about 30 seconds. Because of the design which does expose bare metal at the terminal, I use my switch on the negative side. Quite a good investment, very heavy duty.

These are a lot smaller than I thought. The description said the had a 1/4" hole for mounting but it's a lot smaller. I have not used them just yet but I don't think they will work for my boat battery hookup.Update: Jan 19 2023Well the seller refunded my money (which I didn't ask for) after they read my review. I guess they want me to change my review which I will not do. I appreciate them refunding my money but it took them several months to respond to my review. All I can say is this product will not work on anything but maybe a motorcycle or a mower type battery.

Product worked - cuts off negative to kill battery drain

I used on riding lawn mower. It is nice and small so does not take up much room.

Compact enough for motorcycles and cuts battery power.Hard to say much more really

Easy to fit, does exactly as it says, it is a simple cure for a flat battery from lack of use..

Ironically, I had to cut/modify this item so that it would fit onto my new MotoBatt motorbike battery which is a shame as I cannot return it now for a refund.The thumbwheel in the centre is supposed to break the circuit between the battery and the bike wiring loom when the thumbwheel is unwound - but mine didn't, resulting in the electrical circuit still fully connected - even when I disconnected the thumbwheel completely!Save your money and do not buy this useless item

This Battery Disconnect was so simple to install except that I needed a longer securing bolt for the battery cable. This works so easily and effectivly
