This type of pick-up tool depends on both the sturdy structure of the tool along with the grip strength of the user. The cross-sectional shape of the shaft on this tool provides a moderately sturdy structure while keeping the weight low. I tested it on a 3 pound smooth rock. I was pleasantly surprised that I could not only pick up the rock, but hold it out nearly horizontal without dropping the rock or causing the tool to bend.The length is about right to adjust the air flow on my HVAC ceiling grates on high ceilings without a ladder.

I bought this because I had back surgery, and wasn't able to bend down much, and I love it! It has a good strong grip, and is very durable. I have had this now for over three years, and I use it to pick up eggs on the floor, among other things. I would definitely recommend this !

This tool is amazing for our golf facility. We've tried them all! Ordered one to try it out. Immediately ordered another dozen. If they quit making them, I will have my welder fabricate them exactly like these. Rubber pads su k, but, for our purposes does not matter one bit

We keep it on the lawnmower when we mow to pick up anything.
