Great product for a great price
I have been looking at products like wescott's scrimjim for a while, I do a lot of documentary work where we need something that can be packed away but available if needed. In my research I came across this product and was surprised by the price. The frame seemed like one of those "too good to be true" products but honestly its pretty nice. The metal frame is sturdy with easy to use locking connectors. I like that it can be mounted to a single stand in a variety of positions without the need of a gobo head. It packs away pretty small and includes some basic fabrics to use with it (diffusion and bounce). If I had any complaint about the product it would the Velcro, its not bad just tedious. I honestly prefer the old style using bungees and tie downs for the fabrics.

Fabric is hard to put on. A little small
The frame is very well-made and easy to put together and take apart. My only complaint is that the Velcro straps are very tight around the polls and the fabric could probably used to be around a half inch larger so that it was easier to install the fabric. When I’ll put together one and tends to come on Velcro to because it’s a little too tight and doesn’t stay completely closed solid on one another on Each Velcro side so I’m constantly having to re-stick the Velcro together but it doesn’t match up perfectly because it’s a little too small

Pretty Amazing Product for the price!
I looked for a good scrim for too long, and ended up finding this one for a lot cheaper (like 5 to 8x cheaper) than other scrims. I've used it on 7-8 jobs now and it's sturdy, the fabric doesn't show any wear or tear. And I barely pack it up nicely, instead I'm often in a rush, throwing it in my Yakima Box on my car, and it's been a champ.Would reccomend it to any filmmaker/photographer on a budget

Inexpensive and light weight.
This is the second I’ve purchased. Having the rigid frame has been useful to quickly clamp into a Cstand and hand held in light wind. I would recommend a maffer/super clamp instead of the bar post it comes with.

Good value
The media could not be loaded. The scrim/reflector is easy to setup. Hardware is not flimsy. No issues with the fit of the diffuser and reflector panels/velcro.

Diffuser too narrow
The frame is pretty sturdy. However the diffuser is too narrow to allow the Velcro along the sides to actually attach it to the frame. It needs to be 1-2” wider in order to be securely attached. I’ll re returning it.

One of my Favorite pieces of kit
A great addition to your lighting control kit. Whether you are a photographer or videographer the frame is light but sturdy and easily transportable. Can be handheld by an assistant or mounted on a c-stand. Highly recommended

Cheap way to get a frame. Adorama pack and ship dept SUCKS!!
It was cheaper to buy this than constructing a frame out of square aluminum. The additional reflector fabric and carry back was a nice touch. I don’t know how many stops the diffusion is. It is much thinner than my Westcott 1.5 stop fabric. The frame is not premium but I didn’t expect it for $99. The diffusion panel doesn’t perfectly fit across the frame size but it’s close. Same for the other fabrics provided. The connection from the handle/bar to your stand is just bad all around and it wobbles when tightened down to the pin. In most situations the weight of the whole unit should keep it in place but I’m not confident. The diffuser had a small hole/run in it when it arrived supposedly new.The rivets don’t seem adequate for the size and weight and the frame creaks.Having said all this I still plan to keep it. I will modify and beef it up and figure a better way to attach to stands. I’ll use this diffuser till wears out which shouldn’t be long as some of the stitching is already giving way and I literally just installed it. But I’ll custom fit my own fabric to this frame after it gives out.Anyway it’s long review but addresses some of the questions I had that weren’t addressed by other reviews or QA.Adorama packaging SUCKS. They haphazardly put one strip of tape across the box which didn’t even secure both flaps so my box arrived open. It did come early tho! I’ve bought from their eBay site as well and same horrible packaging
