Sunclear Natural Sunscreen SPF 30+, 5.29 Ounces Tubes

I am a very pale skinned person prone to sunburn so I was really excited ot try this sunscreen. I am also trying to cut out many of the unnecessary chemicals in my skin care products, which was the major reason I chose this brand. I used it for the first time over the July 4th weekend and have a few comments.The coconut smell is strong out of the tube but then dissipates very quickly. The tube says that this product is "Very, very waterproof" and they are not kidding. I've likened wearing this sunscreen to going through a wax and polish cycle in a car wash. It rendered me completely impervious to water. While I guess this is a good thing if you intend to actually stay in water, I found that after a quick splash in the sea, water did not evaporate from my skin, it just stayed beaded on there. I have a feeling this may have contributed to the light sunburn I did get in my, ahem, damper areas (edges of bikini top, around bikini bottom) despite reapplying after swimming. I applied sunscreen twice in two hours which is more frequently than recommended on the bottle. The waxy nature of the sunscreen made it necessary to really scrub myself down to get it all off my skin.Basically I spent a fair whack of money on this stuff and it does work, but it's unlikely that I will buy a second tube. I also wont be using it on my face, it's far too thick.

I am pissed and frustrated with physical sunscreens. When somebody has one that doesn't leave you looking like a shiny dead person, f**** tell me! Zinc oxide is officially my worst enemy. I put this stuff on, in a very thin layer to my face and hands, Wait about an hour, inside I look in the mirror and I see, well, it doesn't look white, almost clear, Boy was that an optical illusion! By the time I went outside to go somewhere, I look at my hands and It looks like white cast! A silverish white and I know it's that dam.n zinc oxide. It's the only thing that does that, besides TD. I'd rather have skin cancer. (Not really ) so anyways, I hurry to wipe it in as fast as I can, and the bus comes, and everybody looking at me funny..Who woulda guessed it?! So I hurry to the back hoping I don't see a hot girl that wants to talk to me and I wipe away..I said I am never using this sunscreen again. Back to Mexoryl Sx (from la roche) I don't care if it's chemical they been using it for over 10 years! And there hasn't been any cases..I only switched because I wanted to try a Physical Blocker because they said its better. But The mexoryl worked 100% and blocked uva rays all day. What could possibly be better than that? Screw what the media says about it, they probably don't even go outside OR wear sunscreen, Im considering also NANO ZINC OXIDE creams, Since they DON'T PENETRATION THE SKIN, CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF.

I was looking for a natural sunscreen to use every day that relied on physical blockers (like zinc oxide) rather than chemical blockers. Graham's SunClear is great in that respect. It has a light, coconut smell and smooths on clear.However, the product itself is a very thick cream that, at least for me, felt greasy long after I applied it. No big deal if you're planning to go out and get dirty, but a bit unpleasant if you're just going to be sitting out on the patio. Be forewarned, it's more of a workhorse product than an everyday product. It's VERY waterproof, though - I wore it swimming and kayaking and only got sunburned on the areas where I forgot to reapply it after the recommended time.

I bought this product because one, I have an allergy to the sun and need to protect my skin, and two, I was looking for something made of natural ingredients. I used this product throughout the summer hoping to be able to wear short sleeved shirts in limited sun exposure and not break out in hives. Unfortunately this product still did not protect me from having my allergic reaction to the sun (hives) even in very limited sun exposure while wearing short sleeved shirts. I received better protection by just wearing thin long sleeved shirts or cover-ups without sunscreen.

This sunscreen combines the protection of a mineral sunblock with an oil instead of a white cream. That makes it go on without the dreaded white residue by other natural mineral sunscreens like Badger. It is very oily, so I would not use on my face unless I was going to be swimming all day. But I do use it daily on my exposed arms, legs, chest and since it is an oil I do not need any other body moisturizer.

It comes out in clumps otherwise it is an excellant sunblock . The clumps don't blend so they are problematic.

I really like this. It's not perfectly clear, but almost, and it works like an SPF 30. Fragrance is not bad. Will get it again.
