Anni Coco Women's Halter Polka Dots 1950s Vintage Swing Tea Dress ?-

I don't know about anyone else, but I read the reviews hoping for three things:1. To find out the reviewer's weight, and weight. Measurements are a HUGE bonus.2. What size they ordered.3. Pictures.These things help me make an educated guess of which size I need to order, based upon their height, weight, and the size they ordered. If you tell me you ordered a small, but it was too small, it doesn't help me at all if I don't know that you're 5'1", and 110lbs, so a small should have fit... For all I know you could be 190lbs, and had no business thinking you should have fit in a small in the first place, you know? The sizing guides are quite often not accurate so we have to rely on each other leaving detailed feedback to avoid the return, and re-order game.So here is my pertinent info: I'm 5'9", 147lbs, my measurements are 37" chest, 28" waist, and 38" hips.I normally wear a medium in dresses, and I ordered this in a medium. It fit perfectly, so perfectly that I didn't need to wear the 9 way convertible bra I was planning to wear with it, so that was a plus, because those things are uncomfortable when you wear them for backless dresses. I'll warn you that if it doesn't fit so perfectly on you, you're going to need a 9 way convertible, or backless bra, because there is no conceivable way to wear a normal bra with this dress. I tried just to see if it was possible for this review, and I couldn't figure out how it could be done. The back is just too odd.The material has very minimal stretch, it is a decent weight. Not too thin, but not too heavy, good swing dress material, but it isn't very forgiving. It floats when you twirl, and swishes when you walk, which is exactly what I look for in this style dress. I tried pulling the skirt with my hands, and it didn't have any give. A lot of the pinup swing style dresses are made with material that stretches, but this isn't one of them, so keep that in mind when you're picking out your size.I wore a 26" petticoat underneath it, but it was extremely cute without it. Looked like the pictures listed in the adds. I'm a fan of poof though, so I prefer a petticoat.If you order the correct size, and get a backless bra you will likely be happy with this dress.

Summary:5' 4", 150 lbs, bust 36", bra 34C, waist 31",Ordered Medium, I would have been comfortable in a small.I like the dress and thinks it fits my body type well while hiding my thicker waist and hips. The shape great and flares out nicely. I would like to get a petticoat which would add so much more dimension to the dress. The bust is lined and the skirt is not but the material is of medium weight and not see-through. Great for outdoors in summer!Fit:Though it does fit me well, I would have defiantly been comfortable in the small. It is a tad big but not loose or baggy. (Did not wear bra in pictures.) Amazon and Anni Coco would recommend a medium based on my bust, and even larger for my waist. This is why I gave the dress 4 stars instead of 5. In my opinion, the bust measurement is the most important since the waist stretches well and hides the tummy. The seem between the skirt and top of the dress sits about 2.5-3 inched above my belly button. It is also longer than expected. From the description I was expecting it to hit right below my knee but hit mid calf instead. This would raise with a petticoat but I will probably hem it about 3-4 inches.Quality:I think the quality of the dress fits the price well. The material reminds me of the cheap bulk fabric I would buy at Joann Fabrics. The polka dots do not match up at the seem, as shown in the pictures on Amazon. This is a symbol of the quality. I would not be scared to wear this out to the park where it might get dirty. It is defiantly going to be great for summer outings and will surly keep me cool.I received this item at a discounted amount and I would like to leave my honest unbiased opinion.

Very nice dress. Minor defects, but overall it's a great buy for the price it is. Definitely considering buying more.Size Ordered: Small5'7" 135 lbs33"bust 27" waistThe fabric feels quite sturdy, and the stitching looks fine. Little loose threads here and there, but nothing a little cleanup can't handle. It's not see through, and is quite nice on a hot, humid day.Defects noted:The stretchy back panel is poorly cut, the pattern suddenly goes off at an angle, which makes it seem uneven despite proper fit. Unworn, it didn't seem too bad, I didn't even notice it until I wore it and was trying to get it to lay 'correctly' and realized that the pattern was askew. This would not be a problem for the solid colored dresses, but it's very noticeable on the black/white dot one.There is also some issue with the fit because like one of the previous reviews mentioned, the panel is tighter on the top end which makes it bubble outwards a bit if you're not large enough to stretch the elastic. I ordered the smallest size, and probably would have gone one size smaller for a proper fit.

This dress is so, so cute! I bought it to replace another 50's Rockabilly Polka Dot Halter Dress Sundress which I purchased from Amazon in 2009. And I like this new one so much better! It's a comfortable, breathable fabric with just a little bit of stretch to it. I do have a large bust size, and this dress fits perfectly in the chest. It has a zipper under the left arm, not the back as another reviewer had stated. NOTE: Amazon's size chart for this item is totally wrong. Anni Coco has listed their own size chart in the item description, but it was barely noticeable with everything else on the page. I had initially ordered using the Amazon size chart, but fortunately I was able to cancel in time and order the correct larger size.UPDATE: Upon wearing it once, I discovered that the elastic bunches up weirdly in the back. Dropping my review to 4 stars.

Je fais un petit 38 au niveau de la poitrine (petite poitrine 85B) et un 38/40 au niveau des hanches. J'ai commandé la taille M et elle me va. Un léger bâillement au niveau du coeur sur le dessus de la poitrine car elle est sûrement destinée à une poitrine un peu plus grosse mais j'ai trouvé la solution en cousant les bretelles à l'arrière de la robe après les avoir croisées dans le dos (ce qui me permettra en plus de la porter plus facilement au travail). J'aurais peut-être pu tenter la taille S car la robe est élastique dans le dos mais je n'aime pas être trop serrée au niveau du ventre donc je pense avoir fait le bon choix avec le M.Je fais 1m69 et elle m'arrive en dessous du genou. Au final je suis contente de mon achat car le tissus est épais, la robe est bien cousue et le prix est très attractif.J'ai un jupon noir que je peux porter en dessous pour ajouter une touche rockabilly mais elle est également très jolie sans le jupon.

The dress is lovely and has a zipper as well as a stretchy bit so fits nicely. There is maybe one small thing I didn't expect and didn't like too much, and that is the fact that the skirt is not very wide (as I would hope in a nice 1950s dress). The fabric is quite heavy so the skirt part doesn't really 'float' or move (for example when you twirl around or something). Even with a petticoat underneath it is still a bit stiff... Still the sweetheart line is adorable and very vintage and the general feel is comfortable.

I'm size 16 top, 14 waist so bought the size large (B&W polka dot) hoping the elasticated back and side zip would be helpful and they were brilliant additions. This dress fits like a glove! It nips in at the right places without being tight and gives me an hour glass figure without the need for an additional belt.The fabric is good quality, a decent weight and, for a shade under £15, is excellent value for money.The delivery was prompt and the packaging was delightful, too. It came in a quality ziplocked bag, all neatly folded.I am really impressed by the dress and totally confused by the mixed reviews. I'm glad I took a chance and will order a plain colour, too

De l'appréhension quand on commande des vêtements comme ça car rien ne taille jamais de la même façon. Alors quelle belle surprise!! la taille est impeccable, aux vues des infos sur les mesures, j'ai malgré tout tenu compte des avis laissés mentionnant de prendre la taille en dessous. Et bien parfait!! Et le choix est sans risque car le dos est discrètement froncé élastique (je ne connais pas les termes exacts de couture) ce qui fait que cela peut s'ajuster en toute discrétion!Avec une jolie coiffure, un joli maquillage et de belles chaussures, super joli!!! Pensez bien à rajouter le jupon en-dessous pour un effet 50's garanti ;)Merci pour ce produit au top, je remettrai la robe avec plaisir!

Really pretty dress, unfortunately it was too big (even though I measured myself and followed the size guide) so am having to get it taken in. I'm a size 8 to 10 and chose the Small size, but I think this would have fit a size 12-14. The back of the dress is very stretchy, so I'd recommend ordering a size or two smaller and you should still have some 'wriggle room'! But it's good quality material, and when I had pinned it in place it looked like it would have a very nice shape to the dress. Would have given it 5 stars if it fit, since it was very cheap, good quality material, and has a nice shape.
