LOG2T Birch Log Design Bird Feeder for Thistle Seed

Nice feeder except I haven't seen any birds on it. Also I am thinking the holes are a bit too small for the bills of the thistle eating birds to get their seed. Until I see differently, I can't give it five stars.

We threw this out. There are metal edges around the feeder openings and my wife cut herself on it the first time she went to put it out. Just imagine how often the birds would be injured trying to get the bird seed!

Love this bird feeder. Easy to fill and clean.

I hung it up and within an hour there were house and goldfinches all around it. This is attractive, holds a lot of seed and is easy to clean. I just wish they made this in a larger size with more ports. It gets so much traffic, I will have to buy another one.

The bird feeder is well constructed, it is attractive, it will be easy to clean and it is solidly built. Only one problem: the birds ignore it. For weeks, the thistle seed mixture in the feeder has remained untouched. This feeder replaced an old feeder in the same location that attracted finches and other songbirds for years. [Updated information] This morning, a pair of goldfinches was happily eating bird seed from the feeder. I changed the rating to five stars.

Feeder looks great and gold finches at first were attracted to it and attempted to feed only to give up after a couple of tries. The holes appear to be too small for the thistle seed.

I think the thistle feeder has too much distance from the perch to the tiny hole for the finch feed. I purchased a small inexpensive feeder at the same time I purchased this feeder and the birds are feeding from it

I own 2 other feeders made by Varicraft and they are always of excellent quality. This one meets the same standards. The squirrels don't/can't eat it and it is easy to fill and easy to clean.
