Rudraksha Seeds Mala 108 Large Sized Beads on Knotted Thread

Would not recommend purchasing the Japa-Mala from the Himalayan shop. The Japa-Mala will fail to match the quality of the description on multiple levels. In the title alone, it states: that the Rudraksha beads will come on a knotted thread with large size beads. And the picture shows the tassel to be made of red string; the same material as what it is depicted to be strung on. However, in reality, the beads are small, and are not strung on knotted thread but rather a cheap, frail, single white string, similar to what you might find on a candy necklace. In addition, the tassel is not made of string either, but instead made of chintzy yarn that looks NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE! Not to mention, will fall off shortly after wearing it. This product fails to meet the quality or craftsmanship as one might hope to expect and receive from a company who advertises on a well known site such as Amazon. In short, I would not recommend that anyone purchases anything from the Himalayan Shop.

I am compiling as many beads as I can to start doing Tibetan style jewelry. Rudaksha Mala, as usual, has 108 beads with I will use in smaller numbers for my purposes...it is therefore a great buy for the money. The beads look like nature, rough and very earthy dark orange tone. I can hardly wait until I can get started.

When I got the mala it was great it had 109 beads but the strings at the end were very small and very thin and only like three or for strings and a week later the string fell off but I use them everyday.

My main problem with this item is that it absolutely does not correspond to the description given. "Lage-sized beads on a knotted thread" turned out to be smallish (about 7mm) beads on a thin, white thread, with no knots evident anywhere but on the tussel.Additionally, the tussel is dinky and unattractive, and the color of the seeds doesn't seem quite natural to me, as if it's been stained overly much.I would have returned it, but I don't have time to replace it with something else. I need it for meditation during my surgery and hospital stay which is happening in two days.Let's face it, this is a cheap item, and you get what you pay for - but customers deserve the courtesy of accurate descriptions. I would not have been disgruntled had I not been mislead. As it stands, I gave two stars only because it is, in fact, usable (though I am not sure how long it will take for the string to break with heavy use), and because the quality is not entirely out of line with the price. However, I will never buy anything else from this seller.

Perfect for my meditation and the texture of the beads prevents me having them slip. Good little item to my collection.

The price is fantastic, the rudrackshas are just perfect and real. I have enjoyed for so many hours and I plan to continue doing it. The quality is much better than the one that I bought when I visited India. This is the real thing for an amazing price. Do not hesitate, you will enjoy it. I would buy it again.

The thread was not knotted between the beads. The thread did not hold the beads enough together to comfortably count with them. I returned this mala.
