I've been looking for a stair nose at the big box home improvement stores (ie home depot and lowes) for a couple years now. None of the noses they sell were anywhere close to working for a transition between carpeted stairs and a laminate wood floor. I had previously found a piece of trim which was the same color as the floor and I glued and nailed it down. That was a pain in the butt to install and it kept coming loose and eventually broke in half .This vinyl piece worked great though. It looks much better than I expected, and was easy to install. My stairs are 35 inches so we just cut off an inch and glued it down. It took like 2 minutes. We placed some weight on it overnight but that might not have even been necessary.FYI, this piece came a little bent but that was no big deal..it's very bendable and you can just place something on it to flatten it out if necessary.

I got this to use for a cosmetic trim piece at the back edge of concrete steps that did not quite go flush with the wall. There was just a big enough gap to notice. It seems more sturdy than others have suggested.I had to trim a couple of inches off as the steps curve in at the edges but it was easy to do with a box knife. I just laid in place, might try to stick later but it's not a contact area so I don't see it moving.Definitely happy for what I got for the price.

These need to be screwed in, or glued with a very strong adhesive. We did both because we bought some for our front concrete stairs that have carpet on them and we have outdoor wooden stairs that have carpet on them on the side door. They showed up in weird shapes, clearly not straight at all. They did not even try to package them in a smart way- not sure if that’s Amazon’s fault or what. Which is annoying- but they are more maluable so we just had someone hold it while it was being installed. I’ll take a picture of the finished product today and upload it. Will update after some time to see if they hold out through Utahs’s winter weather. 🤞🏻

We put on our stairs and have 5 dogs go up and down several times a day. You would think they were just installed by the looks, but actually were put in 3 years ago and I have continually bought for customers homes that have flooring installed. They all have reported they love it

M-D Building Products never disappoint and this stair edging is as good as can be. Cuts easily, installs in seconds, quality product. I ordered another! Used construction adhesive to install and a couple nail brads at the end. Couldn't be happier.

Was a perfect fit for what I needed. I did my research and was pleasantly surprised it matched perfectly. Installed with high traffic double sided carpet tape.

The material seems durable. There is no adhesion. And who ever cut the material. Needs to learn how to cut straight. Every piece on the ends is angled cut
