Made a fabulous gift the family receiving it loved it and we are truly pleased with that....

Looks great, but it's plastic (not metal) and it's very noisy
It looks fantastic- like a traditional vintage gumball machine, which is what I was seeking. However, I expected it to be "metal" - only the mechanism part is metal, the actual machine is all plastic, including the globe. Also, it's VERY noisy when turning the crank for candy. On the upside, the kids can't sneak any candy! Overall, because it looks nice (we bought the white one), my son and daughter-in-law are happy with it. This was a gift for their daughter (birthday wish) - so it sits in their dining room full of peanut m&ms.
