So I tried this product and so far I have had zero peeling, itchy patches, raw spots, or breakouts. I do let my face dry completely after washing before applying I lightly exfoliate a couple times a week. I have increased usage from once a week to three times a week. My face does get red, like I went for a run red, but this decreases over time.
