it have a UPC and 3 HP servers which is at least 300 lb in total.. seems to be a solid unit.. no complains so far

How hot can components get before harming the case ?

The manual doesn’t give any indication of an internal temperature limit, but I can say that the cabinet is steel, the front door is steel with glass and inside is steel with soundproofing foam. The door locks are plastic/metal just like you can get at the hardware store. Based on the materials of the cabinet I’m guessing the cabinet can handle temperatures significantly higher than what most electronic devices can, but the PDU, Control panel and fans are all standard components so those will most likely fail/melt long before the cabinet does. One thing that wasn’t clear in their documentation was how the sensor and fans work together: You set a temperature limit (up to 122 F) and once the sensor reaches that temperature the fans kick on. Once the temperature drops below the limit they automatically turn off. My cabinet is only half full of network equipment and at 85 F the fans only kick on for a few seconds to a couple minutes one or two times an hour. At 75 F the fans ran about 50% of the time so I suggest playing around with the temperature limit at first if you want to minimize the fan usage.
