Some helpful info but not 16$ worth
This book sound helpful but formulas are tedious and impractical to use. One would do better with a list of amounts of lactose in certain foods. Saying they give you lactose info about over 1,000 foods is silly. Soda, alcohol and all fruits and veggies are lactose free but they list every type. Save your money. Lots of typos also; seems like noone proofread it!

Using it daily
One of my friend was diagnosed with a lactose intolerance an year ago. Since then, she completely avoided lactose as she was uncertain of how much she can stomach and feared symptoms. she just felt insecure about how much she was going to be able to stomach. With The Lactose Navigator, that has stopped. Now, she have learned to avoid discomforts while eating tolerable amounts of dairy products. The food lists are fantastic and easy to use. Even for cooking they show how much she can use, which makes everything so much easier. She recommends this book to anyone that is lactose intolerant.

Not the best book on the subject.
Awkwardly written and hard to figure out. Better books on the subject are available.

A diet that works
I was uncertain about buying this book because there is so much literature out there on the topic until I saw that none of them offered tolerable portion sizes, and thus I decided to give it a try. I found that it was worth it because I unnecessarily avoided many foods. The Lactose Navigator shows not only whether a product contains lactose but also how much can still eat of it without having to fear symptoms.

A must have!
Finally, these lactose hideouts are uncovered! I unnecessarily avoided so much stuff, even medicine. I can recommend this book very much to anyone suffering from lactose intolerance. Before I always avoided products when lactose was in the ingredients. Now this book knows exactly how much is in it and gives you the amount you can still eat. What a great approach! I recommend this book to anyone who loves ice cream, and cheese! You dont have to give up lactose, just follow J.N. Stratbuckers Book!

A giant leap forward
This book set me on a journey to a more pleasant life. And I mean life in general as it covers how to approach challenges like a lactose intolerance better and enjoy life more. I can recommend this book, even if you do not suffer from lactoce intolerancy you can give it to a friend or family member who does. Wonderful
I learned about my lactose Intolerance in 1997 and since then only used lactose-free products. I was missing the taste of real butter, cheese and milk in my coffee. Dealing with capsules for it felt too much like being a drug addict. Now The Lactose Navigator is a real blessing, because finally, I know how much I can still eat any food containing lactose. I feel very much liberated. Thank you, J. N. Stratbucker!!

John provided me with excellent advice. I always evaluate a book based on whether it did change me in a beneficial way and this book is one of the greatest of the great. It covers much more than a diet; it covers the attitude that makes you great. Love the scope
