Maxpedition Fatboy S-Type Versipack

I purchased this bag as I got to the point where I needed something to carry all my every day items with me...and also my wife got tired of me offloading all my crap on her to go into her purse when we were out.I am right handed and conceal carry on my right side (4 o'clock position) a small 45 so I wanted a bag that hung on my left side; so I got the S-Type. The main items I wanted the bag for are my Nexus 7 tablet, a 3rd mag for my 45, multi-tool, backup charger for my phone and tablet and a few other items (cliff bar, pepto tablets, lotion, breath mints, lighter, phone charger, sport quick clot, )...Sometimes I swap out my tablet with my XDs 3.8 9mm in the large zipper pocket (which I also have the universal holster setup inside.) The quality on this bag is really amazing. There is no doubt this is built to last. I went back and forth with regards to what color to get and ended up going with the Foliage Green. I am SO happy I did. This color is awesome. It tends to take on the surrounding color of the environment and really blends in well with a variety of clothing.Highly recommend this bag. I will be adding a few other Maxpedition bags in the future. One bag for my truck and a larger 3 day type bag for the house. If you're on the fence, pull the trigger...you will be very happy with this bag.

This is a nice little bag. I am using it as a range bag for quick trips to the shooting range. It is just right to carry eyes, ears, ammo, small pistol and a few other range necessities such as a small tool pouch, small IFAK, and cleaning items. The CCW compartment carries the pistol (Ruger LCR) using the Maxpedition Universal CCW Holster (sold separately) securely and comfortably. It may be difficult to draw the pistol quickly, but it is possible with training. Be aware that the S-type does not have the phone pouch that the non S-type has. To be honest, it is smaller than I thought, but very adequate for how I use it. It is comfortable to wear and pretty secure on your hip even without using the waist strap. The material is very durable and I'm sure this bag will be in use for several years.

After forgetting my wallet a few times, I bought this to be able to grab it and go, having all my "must haves" and not spend time searching for my wallet, keys, calculator, checkbook, glasses, pens/paper ect. Excellent workmanship in the stitching & material. It will hold my Glock .45/ or camera in the back compartment with ease. Overall not to big or to small, and has a nice GPS compartment and one for my flashlight.CONS: 1. Make sure you can use the "S" version (left handers) although it will work either way over the shoulder it just makes a little easier to access if you are left handed and carrying on the left side, I'm right handed and carry it right, and adjust to it fine. I don't CCW so I don't "fast draw", as the zipper pull would be on the wrong side for quick access.2. The shoulder strap does not fully remove (snaps together) if you only want to hand carry, but for me it's ok as I can snap it together on the shopping cart handle, a little more security. It's a little bulky to carry while shopping and does flop around a bit. 3. This model uses only ykk single zippers, so you have to fully unzip the front compartment from only one side, and no cell phone pocket.

Maxpedition FATBOY S-TYPE VERSIPACK is by far the best pack I have ever purchased, and quite frankly, I have indeed purchased amany. I am a chaplain officer with the International Federation for Emergency Chaplains. I have a need to carry first aid supplies, as well as my religious articles on me at all times, while I am on duty. This pack, which has a removable shoulder pad is both comfortable with or w/o it. (I myself removed the pad). The pack, in which I ordered in khaki color, serves quite a unique purpose. Of course, originally designed to serve search & rescue personnel, this versipack is small enough to fit snuggly to your side, and yet large enough on the inside to hold your most desired gear.There were only two drawbacks that I found with this pack. First & foremost, the waist strap, (when not in use), has to be wrapped around the top handle for out-of-the-way use so that it doesn't hang down side of the pack. Now, I'm not certain about anybody else, I have a 32-sized waist, & I find that I can use this pack with or without the strap, unfortunately, without using it, and the pack has a tendency to slide forward when your walking or bicycling for instance. The second concern, which really isn't that big, was the front-most zippered pocket. I use this to stash my Rosary beads & holy water bottle, which is really the only two tiniest of articles you can actually put in there. This pocket is so small that it really shouldn't have probably even been a pocket & is most likely there just for looks.Besides this, the two sides pockets provide ample storage for my first aid items, EMT shears, hemostat, latex gloves, multitool, even a mini-Mag flashlight holder. The main compartment that has a drawcord for secure closure holds most of my emergency supplies, notpad & pen, first aid gear, such as; bandages, tape, gauze, wraps, etc. I can accommodate my prayer book, stole, cruets and more in the front zippered compartments and the rear zippered pocket.The pack is great too because I have the need to represent myself as an emergency chaplain, so the strap serve the great purpose of being wide enough to accommodate my chaplain badge. I bought this (having owned a gearslinger and a couple other max products) for my wife. she likes my Lunada and wanted a new purse. this works great for her. some women may not like it because it is plane and simple in it's function. I looked for reviews from women who used it as a purse but found little, so I hope to offer a little insight into it's use by women as a purse vs. and edc man-purse. the concealed carry pocket is about the right size for an LC9 and a mag, so when she gets her permit, I will probably equip her with mine and change what I carry. good compartmentalization and maxpedition's drag it in the dirt/throw it in a river/take it to war quality build. she is happy with it, you should be too.

I've been searching for a decent man bag for ages, I find nowadays I have a ton of gear to carry about, so I needed a blokey bag, not too purse like!This is the fourth bag I've bought but my search is over. This pack is just right, comfortable and a good size. The finish is good quality and strap adjusts for the perfect fit.Try it!

Buon borsello, robusto e ben fatto, Maxpedition è una garanzia.Comodo da indossare e portare, con tante tasche anche se alcune di queste non sono risultate troppo funzionali per le mie esigenze.Ho visto che ci sono anche altre versioni dello stesso borsello, in seguito le analizzerò meglio per prendere quello più adatto per me.

Ideal für einen der a) alles liegen lässt und vergisst ( ;-) (und den anderen die Schuld gibt) und/oder der im Urlaub oder bei auswärtigen Arbeitseinsätzen kein Risiko des Taschendiebstahls eingehen will ... für den ist die Tasche der unerlässliche Begleiter. Die Fächer sind optimal für Insektenschutzspray, Handys, Geldbörsen und Video- bzw. Fotokamera mit normaler Größe (Powershot o.ä). Die Tasche ist gut verarbeitet und auch bei Regen dürften Dokumente wie Pässe, Visas und dergleichen gut aufgehoben sein. Der Preis ist zwar etwas hoch, aber wenn man die Verarbeitung betrachtet und das Schlüssel liegen lassen der Vergangenheit angehört, absolut gerechtfertigt.

I am extremely happy with this bag, which I bought here at a good sale price. It's just big enough to carry some essentials for a day of hiking/walking and geocaching. The main compartment fits a couple of water bottles, or a water bottle and snacks. The zippered side pocket fits my GPS unit. Other odds and ends like pen, paper, ID, etc. tuck away in the rest of the pockets. There are a few spots on the outside of the bag I can clip things to using carabiners if I need a little more space. The strap and shoulder pad are comfortable. As I have lower back problems sometimes, the waist strap that allows me to rest the weight of the bag on my hips is a very helpful feature. And the storm collar in the main compartment will be very helpful since I have a tendency to get caught in the rain.It's very well made. The zippers don't catch, the fabric and stitching are sturdy. I expect this bag to last for many years. The fabric is a bit stiff, but I've read elsewhere that it does soften a bit with use.

sowas darf mit einer Tasche dieser Preisklasse nicht passieren! Am Kinderspielplatz leicht hängengeblieben und der ganze Plastikverschluss ist rausgerissen :-( erst da habe ich gesehen war für eine besch... Verarbeitung der Verschluss hat, einfach nur in 3 löcher reingesteckt, beim gerinsten zug reisst das raus! was für ein dreck!!! Bei diesem Preis ist das Wucher!!! Finger weg!!!

De grande taille, je peux y ranger facilement toutes mes trop nombreuses affaires et multi-poche, je les retrouve! bonne qualité. sanglage très bien fait. Il m'a convaincu de regarder de prés les autres produits du fabriquant.
