What a great invention!!! I bought one, and have now bought a total of 5. This is a great way to convert your lamps to dimmable lighting. It's portable, so you don't have to hardwire any dimmers into anything. Just plug it in and there you have it, your current lamp is dimmable. I've used it on table lamps floor lamps plug-in swag chandeliers and so on.In my bedroom I have my table lamp plugged into it and the dimmer part hidden mounted with double sided tape on my headboard near my mattress; so I can just reach right next to my pillow in the middle of the night and turn the light on to whatever brightness I would like very easily. No cords in the way, they're under the bed. So wonderful!I also like how the cords are a decent length, so I can plug it in and the still have the ability to use double sided tape mount the dimmer part to the wall, or side table, etc. I think it is well designed.One thing to note, is that it plugs into the wall like a normal lamp plug would, so you are then plugging your lamp into that plug, so picture the length sticking out from the wall would be equivalent to two plugs plugged into one another. Too bad they didn't design it so you plug it into the bottom facing downward instead of out. No biggie though - I fix this issue by using an extension cord or small powerbar and then just plugging it into that so that I don't have an extended dual-length plug sticking out of the wall. Keep that in mind based on where you're planning on putting it. It doesn't really matter if it's hidden behind a couch or something but if you're trying to plug it into an outlet behind a bookcase that needs to be up against the wall or where it's going to be visible you might want to do the extension cord or powerbar solution.I really like how the dimmer part is at the other end kind of on its own separate cord from the actual plug that plugs into the wall because it gives more options on positioning the dimmer.I just think it's really well-designed and super handy and useful and I love being able to add mood lighting and dimmable lighting to any of my current fixtures lamps Etc. It's kind of addictive I've already bought four LOL.

This dimmer is exactly what I needed to add to my Halogen globe lamp. Using the Halogen "dimmable" bulbs for my lamp, this dimmer works fantastic. Reduces the light, eliminates the excessive heat produced by the bulbs and prolongs the bulb's lifetime. Amazing difference in brightness, DOESN'T flicker...at all, large choice of intensities to choose from by using the adjustable switch. It has plenty of length in cord, easy to plug in to wall socket and easy to insert the lamp cord into the plug adapter on the dimmer cord itself. Rich, chocolate brown color, solid and smooth switch which is very easy to slide. Bottom of the switch has rubber grips to keep it from sliding on surfaces.Such a difference this dimmer has on the lamp's brightness. Last two pictures show the difference between the lamp with and without the dimmer. Highly recommend this dimmer for Halogen lights/lamps. Just make sure the bulbs are dimmable and this dimmer will work wonders.

The media could not be loaded. Super happy with this dimmer control for lamps.Wasn't sure this would work the way I wanted it to, but it's perfect! My 5yr. old granddaughter just can't sleep without lights on, and while one is a low watt light her other lamp isn't and she freaks out when I turn it off, so a few compromises. I ordered a Dubofu LED, Dimmable, Blue Light Blocking Light bulb to reduce the blue light which can affect sleep quality, and then ordered this dimmer cord/switch combo.The Dubofu bulb was a huge improvement, on its own my granddaughter was able to sleep through the night the last two sleep overs. And now with the addition of the dimmer switch I can dim the light once she is asleep, for a bit lower light level.Totally love that the dimmer switch is a slider and goes from full level (of the bulb) and everything between all the way to off. The cord nor the switch produce any heat while in use, so that gives me the comfort it won't short out or cause other issues.Nice long cord too - not super long, but 6 feet is plenty for most uses. I keep the control box tucked behind the humidifier on the nightstand so that my granddaughter doesn't play with it and it's easy to operate once she's asleep.Going to purchase another for my nightstand lamp, and another Dubofu bulb as well!

I used it for a set of scone lights in the bedroom. Placed the switch on my night stand great dimer switch plus I don't even have to get out of bed to get the lights on or off. Works good no issues with me. Would buy again. A+
