If you like Weezer, and you've ever heard the remix that Jimmy Pop (of The Bloodhound Gang fame) did of 'Hashpipe,' you'll know that this harder and harder to find single containing this ingenious remix is a "must have!"

Weezer - Starlight
I love that song Starlight it's too bad there wasn't a video for that song and that should've been the single. I plan to get the CD for the song Starlight alone is worth it to me. It's something I've seen this with other bands as well where the B side of a single ends up being such an awesome song. I overall like Weezer is a band to begin with as I've been starting to listen to more of their music recently. Brian Lane Bell has some really cool guitar riffs, I like his style, gives that extra edge to songs.

Excellent B-Sides, Not So Excellent Remix, Price
I wish more bands would be like Pearl Jam and release domestic versions of import singles. As a weezer fan, I feel that the two B-Sides (I Do, Starlight) are top. 'I Do' is a ballad featuring some organ, and 'Starlight' is a uptempo number that would have fit well towards the end of the green album. The Jimmy Pop remix of 'Hash Pipe' isn't my cup of tea. It sounds a tad too much like that Bloodhound Gang song about doing it like they do on The Discovery Channel. If you are a big weezer fan, treat yourself right and fork over the money for this import. Casual weezer fans may want to wait for a B-Sides collection.

2 Great B-Sides and 1 Atrocity
Hey Weeziites...it's another single! This one has two (excellent) b-sides from the Green Album, and one horriffic remix of Hash Pipe. The b-sides are I Do and Starlight. I Do is one of the best Weezer songs yet! I can't believe it's not on the cd. It's a beautiful slow tempo Butterfly-esque song. Starlight is a great, up-tempo typical Green Album song. Now, Hash Pipe (Jimmy Pop Remix) is terrible. Yes it is "Hash Pipe", but in name only. Just consider this a 3-track single and try to forget about the remix.

One of my favorite imports
Buying this CD is definetly worth it because you get 2 of Weezer's best B-sides to date. First off, "I Do" is definetly the most depressing (and shortest!) Weezer song out there. It's a lot different from their other stuff. When you first listen to it, don't make any judgment. Give it about 3 more plays and see how you feel. It's pretty good. Then you get "Starlight" which rivals a lot of the songs that made it onto the Green Album (beats Hashpipe, in my opinion.) The Jimmy Pop Remix is OK, but it sounds like he just dubbed the lyrics over the Bloodhound Gang's "Bad Touch." Any self-respecting Weezer fan should own this single. It is definetly not a waste of money, god knows we've all had our bad experiences with Imports.

The better of the two
Hash pipe is an awesome song. But I Do is one of their better songs to date. It is remindful of Butterfly off Pinkerton with the same deep, melodic prescence. Starlight is another amazing song they decided to leave of the new album. I must say however that the Jimmy Pop remix is really wierd. It isn't terrible, but it may difficult for some hard-core Weezer fans to get used to Rivers voice in front of a breakbeat.

Not the most bang for your buck...
I chose to spend my dough on the other 'Hash Pipe' import album. I'd rather have 2 b-sides than 1 b-side and the video. The Jimmy Pop remix isn't all that. Maybe if you like the Bloodhound Gang you'd like it, but I don't see any redeeming qualities in it.
