Unit has 2 big rubber grips for great surface traction and lots of real nice finger fitting indentations for grabbing/holding. Glove is universal, and being "big and Flufffy", it surprisingly fit well and felt comfy. Did a Fantastic job of "cleaning", bring back most of the sharpness of my finest knives and actually got my cheaper ones performing better. Outperformed any of this type of sharpener I've had before and is so comfortable, I found myself liking holding onto it by itself w/o being on a base while using it...I know, Bad Safety No-No...just saying.Paid very little on sale for this, great Deal. This is a Real Good item set. Highly recommend picking one up also for maintenance for your knives too.

Opened the package and took the tool to my wifes knives. Gave each a few swipes over the sharpener and wala sharp as could be.

This is more of a Christmas tree ornament than a knife sharpener, what a piece of junk. Cheap plastic, with what appears to be cheap spring loaded metal inside (not any kind of sharpening stone). It is easy to use but completely useless, i couldn't even cut a piece paper after 15 minutes of trying to sharpen a knife with it. Don't buy this item, complete waste of money.

This is the best knife sharpener! Easy to use. I use it everyday at work.

The good thing is it sharpens the knives. However, because it is light my partner found it difficult to hold still. The finger grips at the side need to be longer and wider to allow to hold it steady. The non slip pad did not hold it well and I added my own and this did the trick. But advert on Amazon said Lifetime warranty. But no evidence of that came with it and this is one of the reasons I paid the price I did? The pad can get sticky with crumbs etc.
