Set It Off (Deluxe Edition)

Might be long,but i am typing,as i am watching tonight,on B.E.T.i love set it off,i really love my nj/nyc tri-state area fave,Queen Latifah,what a very talented woman she is,and god bless her with her future success in her forties,still young enough to do it all,but she rocked EACH part in this movie,she is so talented.I do agree with most here,good to see Majority agree what a fascinating,realistic,incredible(easy to watch over and over,tears and all movie)Extreme-sad ending,however:Considering how Cleo live her life,well that was her fate/destiny some will say.i do agree i am giving this awesome,incredible Movie,quite realistic for many,who are so "desperate"at times,might feel he or she has to go this route,and or shoot out with policia,etc. i do not condone none of it,but the movie was imho real.and for that i am giving it five stars.Kimberly Elise,was a bad actress in this,serious.But tee-tee make me cry only when she die like that. I was shock by that.in 90s,still am! she was so sweet and quiet one,shy but then again she did "run with such kind,like crazy,but imo loveable cleo"so i can pretty much see why the writer,did it this way.(as the ole saying goes,it is all about who a woman, or man hang around that shall feasibly decide one's fate)and we all know this is true,for most,at times..I think that Kimberly Elise, is 1 of the leading black actresses/and of ALL movie actresses of all time,she REALLY improve since this film..IMHO best part is really hard to choose from,but if i have to?it is the end..Such a realistic "very"sad ending,make me cry from the scene where,we see(with the most emotional beautiful music entire ending at when we lost first,Tee Tee,and little stoney close her eyes,thinking of the best time she has had she say or 1 of them in her life,the very talented & handsome"blair underwood..."(keith)she was actually crying and laughing,realizing it is all over,probably not for just tee,who died,but francesca/cleo etc. I was crying definite, buckets seeing the emotional scene with cleo,shooting at the cops,and realizing,"ok she is NOT coming out of this alive,not even on her best day!"Would have not been realistic.she dies in a hail of gunfire,bold some say,yes. But i was praying for her,to just be able to make it out,but i knew deep down she is dead..Frankie,"whose literally bold enough to put a gun to the cop head/neck,get shot in the street,attempting to make a run for the bus,where we see sweet stoney look"right in the cops face!"(VERY)good acting on both parts,the music come on,(that i love)and he literally let her escape "from it all."IMO?that was nice premise on what he did to her brother,for whom him,and or his officers killed,in cold blood..Tee not having a chance to raise her child,and procure custody from C.P.S. who (worker played by AMEN star,and wayans brother co-star Anna Marie Horsford) i just felt so sad when she die like that..Best part was a happy ending for at least,little stoney,who cut off her long pretty braids,and smile at the end with the cash the jeepand flew on outta town!(with all the money)and her beautiful silk long dress,from the 1 date,i am sure she will never forget,who would! lol with "keith."He sure did adore/love her,i believe,but we did not get to see more of them,and yet the ending make alot of sense to me anyhow,even if her friends were all gone to heaven,too early but how they all "chose to live"expound the reason as to why only"1"really did have,a "happy ending after all."She smile driving away,"thinking of the good times"crying.laughing.etc.and imho?That was a good ending,and i would not,ergo have it any other way!I will re-order,i love it so much,never sick of it.Cameo by DR.DRE,way too real,he fit the part perfecto.adios.Para;BMWREDHEADLAWSTUDENT@Gmail.

This is my One Favorite Movie !!!! Love, Love this Movie !!!

Don't waste your money, not even $3.99. Movie is old, acting is bad -actresses have since honed their acting abilities so guessing this was. "career starter" that could have been a career killer had they not been saved from themselves.

If you haven't seen this move, do it!

Good Movie and good price.

This movie isn't exactly what l expected. However, the acting was very good. It portrays a group of Women, all friends. . . . each of them supposedly going through rough times, of some P. . . .in varying degrees. The four Women, in this film prove time, after time. They have no respect for the Law. And that ends up being some of them downfall.

Good movie worth the watch if you like old school movies.

....A chick-flick, the guys would watch and enjoy!The story of a group of friends living in a tough area through difficult times.Certain events push the girls to take drastic action to make a quick buck and a massive change.Each have their own unique issues, but all have the same need to escape the current life they lead.A simple story....but told fairly effectively.

Excellent buy

Set It Off is one my favourite ever films. It is gritty, funny, thrilling and so emotional. It will make you laugh, cry and keep you entertained throughout. All of the acting is on point, especially the acting by the four leading ladies. I love Queen Latifah in this film.

Such a brilliant film, can't believe its over 20 years old. Good ending too. Came very quickly too. Shame there aren't more film extras as would like to have known a little more about the making of it.
