Finally.. Something real and awesome!
This is a beautiful example of a small operation improving on an old concept using premium materials and manufacturing. The hitch exudes quality and weighs half as much as cheap, old style weight distribution hitches. Using fender measurements, the hitch cut rear drop by more than half and returned the front end to its natural height (it rose almost an inch without the hitch). Using on a 4100 lb trailer towed with a 4Runner.

Great hitch!
I usually don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to write my personal experience for people interested in a combined weight distribution/sway control hitch for mild to moderate recreational use. I had originally purchased a husky trunnion style weight distribution hitch with a friction sway control attachment. It worked okay and did its job; however setup was a pain cause the hitch weight at least 90 lbs, and you were limited in terms of turn radius, so once you’re off the highway or needing to back up, the sway control arm had to be disconnected to prevent braking it. On the highway, that was still Some slight sway when semi’s drove by but most significantly if I were behind a semi truck. Now safety is always my utmost concern, so I had been constantly looking for a system that may help me in gaining better control of my vehicle and trailer. So, when I learned about the Anderson hitch, I researched the crap out of it before deciding to purchase it. A little bit about my use of the hitch: I have a 2013 F-150 that I use to haul a 29’ travel trailer dry weight of 6100. The first trip I used the hitch on was a 430 mile trip north from North Carolina to Maryland. The entire drive up, we had no issues with cross winds or passing vehicles causing sway. We got stuck behind quite a few semi’s, and as anyone who hauls knows the draft from the semi trucks can cause some significant sway when you’re following behind; however not once did I feel that I needed to move out from behind the semi trucks due to sway. In regards to the hook up and leveling; it is made super easy once you have It installed per the instructions. Adjustments are made easily by tensioning the nuts on the chain till you achieve a minimum of 1/4” compression of the red springs or till you’re truck and trailer are level. There is no need to take it off when backing up, and you can make tight turns if needed because the system is all connected to the hitch and ball assembly. Best part is it weights no more than 40 lbs making removal easy. The light design also helps reduce your payload allowing you to carry more cargo in your vehicle. In all, I am very happy I switched over to the Anderson hitch and hope others enjoy the same experience I have.

Very easy to use.
I watched a number of videos on this hitch and decided it was worth a try. I am ok with tools, but not great! Installation was easy with good instructions. I bought a torque wrench and some more sockets for $50 total. I am now on my first trip with it. I drove some very narrow and twisty mountain roads with no issues. The trailer was stable, no sway andA bit better than my previous bar type hitch. This is much easier to use. I tow with a Mercedes GLE with no problem. The trailer, when on the hitch is almost perfectly level. The back may be one quarter inch lower in the back than the front, which on a 23 ft trailer is nothing. I am very happy I purchased at this time and expect to be over time.

Customer support not very helpful
I had a Tahoe and wanted an equalizer hitch for my 30 foot trailer. Because the Tahoe hitch is high, it required the longest drop that this company has, so that is what I ordered. The unit arrived just fine and the instructions are very clear. However, before I installed it, I had sold the Tahoe and bought a new RAM 1500. The hitch on that is much lower and the long extension provided a hazard for hitting the pavement. Rotating it to a lift did not provide a good angle on the trailer.I contacted the company to ask about exchanging or purchasing just the short bar. They wanted no part of that and just told me to return the unit. Not exactly the type of customer support I would have expected. Especially as a disabled VET dealing with a company that is supposed to be Veteran friendly. So I asked if I could cut the bar shorter and they said yes.So, used a metal band saw to trim the drop to the height I needed, buffed and painted it. It works just fine. The rest of the hitch is easy to place and works well. The only problem comes in with the method used to prevent sway. You are supposed to NOT grease the ball. It is the friction on the ball that provides the sway control. This means you need to pressure clean your trailer ball receptor to remove any grease. Not mentioned in the instructions. If you do not do that, there is enough grease on the mechanism to reduce the sway control.Once cleaned, the sway control works just fine.Much happier with this as I cannot bend my back at all and not having to carry heavy sway bars makes it so I can connect my trailer on my own without assistance.I would recommend the product, but not necessarily their customer support.

Required RV Part
I purchased this hitch distribution solution based on a reccomendation from a colleague. I have come to know how critically important it is to have proper weight distrubtion and balance of a bumper pull trailer. I have almost 5,000 miles towing with this hitch and it has performed well to dampen out any trailer sway. Air turbulance at highway speeds can induce undesireable movement in my trailer and this hitch has done it's job to dampen that undesireable motion. I'm thankful my colleague taught me about these anti sway hitch systems as I was totally niave on the risks associated with your tow vehicle and a bumper pull trailer. Please be careful and learn about the reduced risks one can enjoy using a proper wieght distrubtion hitch like these Anderson products.
