Works great!
Coming up on 4 years in our off-grid house. Working as it should. The majority of appliances run off propane, so led lights, 110 v water pump, battery charging…all good. Recommend.

Rugged UPS, solid performer
This replaced another UPS that didn't live up to expectations. This one did. It is larger and heavier, but definitely rugged and capable. I did have to replace the GFCI outlet that is the output with a non-GFCI one because the load would occasionally trip it. It is powering a furnace and a water heater, which aren't intended to be GFCI protected.I appreciated the fact that the charge current is settable with a front panel pot. The battery saver mode was not useful to me, but didn't have to be enabled. This is a pure sine wave inverter. Also it works with an external battery of customer's choice. I paired it with a 150 AH AGM deep cycle/float battery designed for telecom use. There aren't a lot of choices out there that can accept an external battery. Aims pretty much owns that market.

Own two of them
I own two of these, one for my freezer and another for my sump pump. Both hooked up to 200 amp hour batteries for extended run times. One is a lithium battery the other is on a agm battery both run flawless and give piece of mind. In a pinch I have enough reserve to run other items like my heater blower for my gas furnace. We don’t lose power all that often but having $$$ of meat in the freezer and not having to potentially deal with a flooded basement are important enough to justify the cost. Have a generator I can pull out to recharge batteries in an extended power outage.

High quality product
I am using this inverter/charger as part of a battery backup system for a 10 amp 3/4 hp sump pump. Overall, it is an excellent value and has great features for the price point. In my case, I was not comfortable with the output of 12V pumps but was struggling to come to terms with the price of a Pump Sentry. I was happy to find this product as an alternative.Pros:-Has an advanced charging and monitoring process, including CC/CV/float stages.-Allows for selection of multiple battery types to charge your battery bank at proper voltages.-Has a high surge capability.-Protective DC terminal covers and a power cord are included despite being excluded from the photos.-Is priced well in comparison to competitors.-Power saver mode is great for most applications. If the appliance doesn’t need constant power, the unit will conserve energy by waiting for a load.-Provides a pure sine wave to treat your appliances well, while several competitors use a modified sine wave.Cons:-Battery selector switch is an awkwardly small size, so it is difficult to find a screwdriver or other tool that can adjust the selection.-Power cord is only about 4 ft long.-The instruction manual focuses primarily on features and is very limited in terms of installation (regardless of your intended use).-AIMS online manual and manual supplied in package are significantly different in regard to DC cable size. One indicates 4 AWG, while the other indicates 1/0 AWG. In reality, the length of cable should be a consideration, so do your research and assume about 100 amps at capacity to align with the 1250 watt rating.-Size and weight are significant. Take proper measurements before pursuing your project. In summary, if the size of the unit is acceptable for your needs, I would highly recommend this product.

Not too sure about this…Update! 2nd Update!
I bought this back in Feb. as part of a backup system for my sump pump. Bought 2 new deep cycle batteries and all new wiring 4 and 6AWG. Twice in 5 months this unit has overheated and shut off all on its own. I bought for power outage situations. We have had none since I purchased it. This past Sunday I heard it making a funny noise. It had gotten very hot and the cooling fan was trying to run every few minutes and chattering and ceasing. I have had it unplugged since. I would send it back but this thing is big and heavy. I don't want to pay to send it back just for them to say everything is fine because it has had time to cool down. Slowly turning into a $500 brick.12-19-2021…Update…. It has now become a brick. As of today this thing will not power anything. As soon as you plug it in it makes a noise as if it is shorting out and then it shuts off. I don’t know what the warranty is but at this point I don’t care if it means I have to pay for shipping in order for them to evaluate it. Will be looking to go with a different brand in the future.Several months ago I decided to get an RMA and send it in. It cost me to pay for the shipping but once they got it everything was covered under warranty. It was returned to me in Jan 2022 From looking at the report they provided, almost everything inside the inverter was replaced. I was told the 6 AWG wire was not big enough.... Really?? Anyway I upgraded everything to 4AWG. No problems since. I have had no power outages since but have tested it several times (sometimes for a few hours at a time) and it has continued to work.

Great inverter for trucking!
I installed this inverter in my semi truck. It is fully set up with shore power and battery charging. I also installed the blue led remote control, as the inverter is mounted under the bed in an inaccessible location. Battery charging works fantastic, and the inverter puts out plenty of clean power for all my needs out on the road. I run a George foreman grill and coffee pot regularly (about 800 watts at a time,) and have used some power tools like buffers with good result. The inverter is well constructed and the manual is clearly written and easy to understand. Power saver mode is great as well. I leave it on that setting and never really turn it all the way off. It doesn't drain my batteries over the weekend on power saver mode. For the record I run 4 batteries, each 1000+ CCA, and power and ground cables are 10 feet each of 2gauge copper.

Unit is dead, no lights
bought that short of a year ago at the time of this writing. My backup 12v pump started to beep with the "battery problem". I didn't think much of it since it gave me false alarms in the past. i should've checked. The inverter had a green light but was obviously not charging. Now the light doesn't come on and it's pretty much a dead brick at this point. I'm not returning this item because of its weight and the company will not cover the shipping fee back on their product. So be aware of that when you buy. That's too bad becausw there is not a whole lot of alternatives for this product. I wasn't even able to test it. Also, this was supposed to give me a bit of relief when we lost electricity but now it gave me the exact opposite.

No battery priority available on this inverter.
It took going through tech support to find out this inverter has no battery priority option. This means it can only act as a grid backup. You cannot use this inverter to use solar generated power first before switching to the grid.
