Best sprinkler by far.
This is the best sprinkler, by far, i have ever owned. It has great coverage, it is heavy duty and projects a heavy “drenching” soak. Other sprinklers I have tried send off more of a “mist” that tends to get carried off into the air, rather than properly water the plants. It’s fully adjustable and the large spikes keep it firmly in the ground. The first one I bought, many years ago finally started to show it’s age. The washer inside the connector to the hose, snapped. It is leaking water out a bit. Time for a new one. Just be careful trying to shove it into hard clay soil. The spike tips can break off with too much force. All in all, this is the only sprinkler I will buy from this point forth. It has the least amount of flaws out of any other sprinkler i have tried.

Best sprinkler of its type
I have a small hobby farm and pump out of a small creek for irrigation. I use two of these sprinklers, each with their own pump. They go 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the end of April until the end of September. I have used many different types of similar sprinklers but these are the best. I do have to occasionally replace them but they last a long time and I don't bother to try anything else now.

Great overall sprinkler
Good sprinkler. Great distance and easy to adjust stream. The long middle spike is easy to break. Lots of rocks in my soil and when trying to push down the spike snaps off. Still able to use and works well.

Buy a squirt gun, it'll work better.
The sprinkler is very sturdy, stable and easy to move around. Ok in saying that this sprinkler is junk. I bought 2 of them in March. Thinking these are made for the pros it has to be good. Right? How wrong I was. The first sprinkler sprayed water a whole 10'. The second one sprayed an amazing 3'. I checked for kinks in the line and there wasn't any. I adjusted the distance both to minimum to maximum and nothing improved. I let it run for 10' minutes to see if they would get better and of course the only thing that got better was my ability to cuss and swear at Gilmour. So apparently there is a minimum water pressure level which wasn't put in the description. My city only allows 40 lbs of pressure. So if there is a larger minimum water pressure it would had been nice to see that in the description. My smaller and cheaper sprinklers work 10 times better but they are hit and miss. But at least I can water my grass. Gilmour, you should be embarrassed and ashamed of yourself for selling junk like this. What I will do is wait for a response from Gilmour and see if there is something I can do to make these things work. If this is done, and the sprinklers work, I will revise my review. If I don't get a response or if they don't work I will write another review to let you know. I sure hope Gilmour stands up and does what is right.

Covers a large space
I have used these sprinklers for about 8 years and if you have 40-60psi or more water pressure with good flow these work really well. It will spray about 30' to 50' covering 60' to 100' diameter circle depending on the water pressure and hose size used. You need to be careful putting it in the gound or you can break the spikes.

Fabulous and Horrible all at the same time
I purchased four of them. They are fabulous when they work - great stream of water, if you have enough pressure it reaches much farther than traditional sprinklers. Easy to adjust, sturdy, easy to put in the ground and connect to, BUT... two out of the three in the yard (set to cover a set area) hit the right side to cycle back and they get stuck. They continue to spray in only that spot, not go back the other way. One of those I moved and lifted the collar to spray in a circle and it still got stuck in one spot. I water every other day for an hour. They started getting stuck in less than two weeks, very disappointing. I submitted a warranty claim, hoping they can get me some that work.

Broken spike but powerful sprinkler!!
Add one to the broken spike group. The long spike on mine broke on the 7th stab into the ground. Granted, we have hard, rocky soil, so I'm not really faulting the sprinkler. The sprinkler itself is amazing. I'm very impressed by the range. And I disagree with the reviews that say it doesn't spread the water well. I think thats more user error. It's very adjustable and you can make it spray more close. And once it's tuned how you like it, you don't have to mess with it again.I won't be returning the sprinkler because of the broken spike. Mine is still very usable as is but I liked the idea that the one reviewer had, making a concrete base for it. So that's what I will be doing. All in all very pleased with this sprinkler.

Use with 5/8” garden hose!
Great coverage! Solid unit, took a beating from kids playing with it and stills works like a charm. >Make sure to use a 5/8” garden hose in order to use it to its full potential. I found that with 1/2” hose it has difficulty to rotate and lacks the momentum to change directions when you limit its coverage

Sprinkler works great.
Second one I have bought. Use one in the back and one in the front on a large lot.

Water pressure.
Unfortunately our home is 70+ years old and apparently does not have enough water pressure to run the sprinkler. Also will not work with an expandable hose. But, gave it to my daughter and it works great in her yard.

These are supposed to be heavy duty, but break within the first season.
I have had nothing but problems with these sprinklers. First one stopped rotating in a week. Second one lasted a season, but did not work first use of second season. Tried contacting manufacturer for warranty support, but there is none.
